Core Responsibilities
Responsibilities and tasks are written as follows:
Pushes out trees of bacon according to average and lot number to designated Bacon Roller.
Removes belly from tree aside to table.
Removes combs from bellies and sets aside combs neatly onto rod of comb truck.
Positions empty flats, stacks bellies in rows and prescribed asides flats.
Asides empty trees to smokehouse alley.
Cleans coolers and trims bellies as required.
Keeps Bacon Rollers supplied with proper sized bacon and correctly and efficiently decombs and stacks bellies.
Provides appropriate scaling, record keeping and inventory rotation.
Performs other duties as assigned by the Crew Leader and Supervisor.

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred

The majority of the time is spent in the plant environment and will include wet or humid conditions (non-weather related), extreme cold and heat (non-weather related), working near moving mechanical parts, exposure to fumes or airborne particles, and chemicals.
Noise level is loud in the production area and hearing protection is always required.
Must be able to lift up to 25lbs.
Push trucks weighing up to 450lbs.
Safety Equipment/Training Requirement
Bump cap, hair/beardnet, eye protection/goggles, hand protection, hearing protection, padded gloves, aprons, sleeves and safety shoes
Mandatory Training/Competency to be Earned
Proper lifting, Lock/Tag/Try Authorized, PIT, Elevator, GMP and PPE
