Job Summary:

Seeking a highly skilled and experienced Decision Support Analyst Senior to join our dynamic team. As a Senior Decision Support Analyst, you will play a crucial role in leveraging data and analytics to guide strategic decisions, improve operational efficiency, and enhance patient care outcomes. What you will do:

  • Collect, analyze, and interpret healthcare data to provide insights and recommendations to senior management and clinical teams.
  • Develop and maintain complex reports, dashboards, and scorecards to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to hospital operations, financial performance, and patient outcomes.
  • Collaborate with various departments and stakeholders to identify opportunities for improvement in patient care, cost reduction, and revenue enhancement.
  • Assist in the development of data-driven strategies and provide decision support for projects and initiatives.
  • Build and maintain predictive models to forecast patient volumes, resource utilization, and financial performance.
  • Conduct scenario analyses to assess the impact of various decisions on the hospital's operations and financial stability.
  • Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and compliance with regulatory standards (e.g., HIPAA).
  • Implement data governance practices and contribute to data quality improvement initiatives.
  • Utilize advanced analytics tools and software (e.g., SQL, Excel, Tableau) to extract, transform, and visualize data.
  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices in healthcare analytics.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, finance, clinical, and administrative staff, to develop and implement data-driven solutions.
  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior analysts as needed.
  • Prepare clear and concise documentation of analysis methodologies, findings, and recommendations.
  • Present insights and reports to senior leadership and department heads in a manner that is easy to understand.

What you will need:

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s Degree preferred
  • Certification: n/a
  • Experience: 5+ years’ Experience in healthcare data analysis and decision support, preferably in a hospital setting. Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau) is a plus.
