What You’ll be Part of: 

OnStar Services is a division within General Motors SSM organization tasked with ensuring our customers enjoy world-class experiences inside and adjacent to their vehicles. Our Dealer Sales Performance, Training and Communications team serves as the strategic backbone supporting the dealer sales field organization and it’s cross-functional partners. This team ensures that field personnel, dealer networks, and supporting operating teams have the tools, knowledge, and insights they need to perform at their highest level.

The Role:
As the Dealer Sales Performance Analyst, you will play a critical role in supporting the field sales and revenue growth operations teams with actionable insights and data-driven analysis to optimize dealer network performance, identify growth opportunities, and enhance strategic decision making. This role is responsible for tracking, analyzing, and forecasting dealer sales performance across regions, zone and districts while supporting leadership with performance management dashboards, key initiative and pilot testing evaluations and predictive analytics.

The Analyst will leverage business and technical knowledge to deliver value and impact critical decision making, including sales and marketing initiatives. The ideal candidate is customer-focused, detail-oriented, and thrives in a cross-functional environment. They will balance day-to-day execution with process improvements that drive efficiency, accuracy, and customer satisfaction.

Performance Management & Reporting

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance performance dashboards and reports to monitor key sales and operational metrics for the dealer channel.

  • Provide regular performance summaries, including YTD and quarterly scorecards, for leadership reviews and field team discussions.

  • Identify performance trends, outliers, and opportunities for improvement, delivering clear, actionable recommendations.

Forecasting & Predictive Modeling

  • Build and maintain sales forecasts and predictive models to project dealer performance and revenue outcomes.

  • Support scenario modeling and "what-if" analyses to guide strategic decision-making and resource allocation.

Testing & Program Evaluation

  • Partner with the Revenue Growth Operations team to design, track, and measure promotional opportunities, pilot initiatives and incentive programs.

  • Analyze test results, quantify impact, and provide insights and recommendations for scaling successful initiatives.

  • Translate complex data into concise, visual presentations for stakeholders.

Regional & Dealer-Level Insights

  • Provide analytical support to regional, zone, and district sales teams, helping them understand performance drivers and challenges.

  • Act as a trusted advisor to field sales leaders by translating analytics into strategic guidance.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with reporting and IT teams to ensure data integrity and consistent reporting standards.

  • Partner with Operations, Incentives, and Training teams to link dealer performance insights with program effectiveness.

  • Support leadership in preparing materials for business reviews, performance updates, and strategic planning sessions.

ADDITIONAL JOB DESCRIPTION

Required Qualification:

  • You are naturally curious and get energized understanding the “why” behind the “what”

  • 3+ years of relevant experience in performance and/or data analysis, dealer sales, automotive or business operations

  • Proven ability to translate data into meaningful insights that inform decision-making and drive effective solutions.

  • Demonstrates sound independent judgment in dynamic situations, especially when leadership guidance is not immediately available.

  • Ability to develop & maintain relationships with business stakeholders, partially through accountability, following up on requests and delivering on commitments.  Ability to collaborate cross-functionally to ensure project success.

  • Thrives in a collaborative atmosphere and believe in the power of innovation through differing viewpoints

  • Ability to quickly ramp up on new domains and understand business needs

  • Strong business knowledge - customer experience, contact center performance, business analytics, sales/marketing analytics

  • Proficiency in SQL, Power BI, Power Automate, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Excel.

  • Bachelors’ Degree in Business or related field

Preferred Qualification:

  • Analytical experience in supporting a subscription business

  • Experience working with dealerships, dealership operations and/or OnStar dealer engagement and profitability

  • Working knowledge of Connected Vehicle services, including OnStar, Wi-Fi and related products (i.e., Super Cruise, Google Built In, etc.)

  • Advanced degree in a quantitative field
