Drive client engagement at the frontline to grow Trade and Working Capital solutions by executing a targeted origination and sales strategy. This includes acquiring new clients, structuring and executing deals, and expanding existing relationships to meet defined sales targets. The role requires proactive identification of opportunities, effective deal execution, and collaboration across internal stakeholders to deliver integrated solutions that support client needs and business growth.

Are you someone who can:

  • Ensure client frontline engagement to drive sales of Trade and Working Capital solutions by acquiring, executing, retaining and expanding business to achieve sales targets through the execution of a defined origination and sales plan, originating and structuring deals

  • Develop, encourage and nurture collaborative relationships across the FirstRand Group

  • Prevent wastage, and on an ongoing basis identify process improvements to contain and reduce costs

  • Deliver internal and external customer service excellence through adherence to quality service standards

  • Build and maintain professional working relationships with all stakeholders, displaying excellent abilities to initiate dialogue, listen, advise, influence and negotiate to achieve win-win outcomes

  • Analyse and interpret Financial Statements to determine deal structures

  • Compile and present specialist credit reports and term sheets

  • Consider risks related to the deals and obtain credit approval from relevant forums

  • Initiate meetings with key stakeholders to track progress, manage expectations to ensure stakeholders' requirements are delivered

  • Provide input into legal documentation and ensure that all processes are completed leading up to the closure of the deal.

You will be an ideal candidate if you:

  • Have a minimum of a BCom degree (business related)

  • Have 5 years’ credit experience with thorough knowledge of Trade instruments, and must be able to use these trade instruments to structure a trade deal for the client/bank (Structured Trade and Commodity Finance)

  • Have good presentation skills as the successful candidate is expected to present suitable structures to a client and bank (including credit)

  • Are skilled at negotiating and closing structured trade deals, often focusing on identifying opportunities, building relationships, and crafting winning strategies to achieve favorable terms for both the client and the bank
