Deal Desk Analyst

Montreal, Quebec, Canada Full Time

Hi there! Thanks for stopping by.

Are you actively looking for a new opportunity? Or just checking the market? Well… you might just be in the right place.

We’re looking for a Deal Desk Analyst to join our Global Payments Deal Desk team (preferably based in Montreal, but open to other Canadian locations).
You’ll play a key role in helping our Sales teams close strong, profitable deals by reviewing merchant statements, evaluating payment processing rates, and providing pricing recommendations that balance customer needs with Lightspeed’s financial targets.

Salary: $55,000 CAD (base)
Please note: While we’d love to have you join us in Montreal, we’re open to remote work anywhere in Canada, as long as you can work 9 a.m.–6 p.m. EST.

What you’ll be doing

  • Review incoming deal requests and merchant statements to determine appropriate pricing for Lightspeed Payments

  • Analyze processing costs, margins, and deal economics to ensure profitability

  • Make confident, independent decisions in a “grey zone” environment where multiple outcomes can be correct

  • Provide clear, timely guidance to Sales reps via Slack and Salesforce

  • Manage a daily case volume of approximately 10–13 pricing requests, depending on sales activity

  • Maintain accuracy and speed while meeting internal SLAs

  • Use tools such as Salesforce, Google Sheets, Looker (trainable) and internal pricing models

  • Support both new pricing (new customers) and repricing (existing customers)

What you need to bring

We’re looking for an early-career professional who has:

  • Strong analytical skills and comfort working with numbers

  • Good knowledge of Google Sheets or Excel (formulas, data handling—no advanced modeling needed)

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Confidence to make decisions independently while asking smart questions when needed

  • The ability to work autonomously across a global, distributed team

  • Strong time-management and prioritization skills

As a global company with employees and clients outside of Quebec, fluency in English as a working language is required for this position.

Bonus points if you have:

  • Experience in Payments, Merchant Services, or FinTech

  • Experience using Salesforce

  • Familiarity with Looker or BI tools

  • French language skills

We know that people are more than what’s on their CV.

If this sounds like the right challenge for you, hit Apply and let’s talk.
