Job Description

U.S. Bank is seeking a detail-oriented Database Administrator with data security and disaster recovery experience to contribute toward the success of our technology initiatives. Manages physical databases on specific database technologies. Implements data access best practices and maintain for a specific database technology. Manages and maintains data definitions for complex production, non-production databases, and replication servers. Maintains security database and generates reports, queries, and documentation. Manages database elements, including creation, alteration, deletion, and copying of schemas, databases, tables, views, indexes, stored procedures, triggers, and declarative integrity constraints. Creates and maintains conceptual and logical database design, the physical database, and user profiles for database access, including login and password. Monitors database and replication servers for resource utilization. Recommends and implements database tuning changes to maintain optimum database performance. Performs backup and recovery, configures database parameters, and prototypes designs against logical data models for complex database implementations. Handles testing, reporting, and backup/restore. Prepare project database estimates and creates DBA task plan.

Basic Qualifications

-Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
-At least 3 years experience with tools, facilities and techniques for managing and administering data.

Preferred Skills/Experience

  • Hands-on experience with Aurora PostgreSQL RDS, Oracle RDS (minimum 5 years each), and relational database design.

  • Strong knowledge of AWS Cloud services and cloud-native application development.

  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).

  • Solid grasp of data structures, algorithms, and software design patterns.

  • AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Developer or Solutions Architect).

  • Experience with performance tuning and troubleshooting in cloud environments.

  • Proficiency (minimum 1 year) experience with JIRA, MS365, including Copilot, Confluence, and Visio.

  • Strong Communication: Ability to clearly articulate ideas and collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment and embracing new technologies.

  • Team Player: Values collaboration, knowledge sharing, and supporting team success.

  • Ownership & Accountability: Takes initiative and responsibility for delivering high-quality outcomes.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $92,820.00 - $109,200.00
