Being a part of Infobip Engineering department means working on an in-house developed product and delivering solutions on a global level. If you are a student of higher or final year of studies in the field of IT, join our Database development internship program that starts in July 2026 and get a chance to land your first job at Infobip.
What this role is all about:
MSSQL Database Developers/Administrators play a critical role in ensuring the integrity, performance, and security of databases, contributing to the smooth operation of an organization’s information systems.
In a role of Database Developer you will work on custom internal development products, learning a lot about database design, writing TSQL queries, troubleshooting and optimizations which are part of our daily job.
Also, you will learn the basics of database administration, as we take care of more than 8000 SQL database instances, and how we incorporate AI in our work to support that.
At our six-month database development internship program you will:
Work with SQL Server and gain hands-on experience in database development
Design and implement SQL Server database solutions to support software products
Develop, optimize, and troubleshoot complex T-SQL queries and stored procedures
Ensure data integrity and consistency through proper data modeling and normalization
Contribute to your team services and directly impact the quality of our products
Write well designed, testable and scalable code in accordance to clean code principles
Use technologies you need to put your code to action such as Git, Maven and Jenkins
Work in agile environment and learn about agile methodologies
What makes you a strong fit:
You are currently studying software engineering (eg. computer science, mathematics)
You are a graduate (MA) or final year undergraduate (BA) student
You have valid student's rights from Studentski centar (can work on student contract)
Nice to have qualifications:
Are familiar with SQL Server and have a basic understanding of database concepts
Have participated in student projects, Hackathons, workshops, or other activities
Already participated in some internship programs
Are fluent in English, speak at a conversational level
Are able to work full time after completing the internship
Internship timeline:
Application deadline (mid of May)
Imocha online testing (By the end of May)
Interviews and selection process feedback (June)
Start of internship program (July 6th)
Orientation week in Zagreb Infobip campus (July 6th - 17th)
Working with the mentor and within a team (July - January)
End of the Internship program (January)
