POSITION OVERVIEW

The Database Administrator I is responsible for daily operations of mission critical applications and databases, including the maintenance, uptime, and performance of ERP and business processes.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Design, create and implement database systems based on end user requirements.
  • Manage database backup processes and recovery activities.
  • Provision database access and security implementation.
  • Perform database and application patching as defined by vendors while adhering to internal change management process requirements.
  • Perform instance cloning for testing and validation purposes.
  • Perform cloud infrastructure and applications provisioning and support.
  • Independently analyze and correct issues in real time to provide end-to-end problem resolutions.
  • Provide on-call 24/7 support for mission critical production systems.
  • Monitor production systems and perform system tuning as needed.
  • Work with IT infrastructure on administration of operation systems.
  • Assist with developing and maintaining data security processes.
  • Contribute to IT Department projects as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Complying with all Company policies and procedures, safety regulations, company safety policies and safely perform all duties, including but not limited to, promoting a safe workplace. 

WHAT TO BRING

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field or a combination of equivalent education and relevant work experience.
  • Ability and availability to work nonstandard hours and/or holidays as needed.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

WHAT WILL HELP

  • 4 years of application administration and database administration experience.
  • Proficiency in LINUX and/or Windows Operating Systems.
  • Disaster recovery (HA/DR) methodology experience.
