Role Overview
This is a fixed-term contract for 6 months.
The ideal candidate will bring solid hands-on experience managing PostgreSQL and Snowflake environments, with practical exposure to SQL Server and Oracle.
This role helps ensure database performance, reliability, security, and scalability across both transactional systems and cloud data warehouse platforms.
The position supports production and non-production environments and partners with application, analytics, and platform teams to enable database operations and delivery.
Responsibilities
Administer, monitor, and optimize PostgreSQL and Snowflake databases across production and non-production environments.
Support database migration initiatives from PostgreSQL to Snowflake.
Perform database performance tuning, query optimization, and index/partition management to improve efficiency and scalability.
Implement and manage backup, recovery, and disaster recovery solutions to support business continuity.
Support database security, user access, role management, and auditing in alignment with established controls and standards.
Partner with application and analytics teams on schema design and deployment support.
Maintain operational documentation and adhere to best practices, standards, and procedures.
Provide development and support assistance for SQL Server and Oracle environments.
Your Profile
Demonstrated hands-on experience as a Database Administrator supporting PostgreSQL and Snowflake environments.
Strong expertise in PostgreSQL, AWS RDS Aurora, and Snowflake.
Practical experience with SQL Server, Oracle, and DynamoDB.
Experience working within the AWS cloud platform.
Knowledge of database performance tuning, query optimization, indexing, and partitioning.
Experience supporting backup, recovery, disaster recovery, security administration, access management, and auditing.
Ability to collaborate with application and analytics stakeholders on schema design and deployment support.
Preferred experience includes exposure to DevOps or CI/CD pipelines and database migration or cloud data warehouse projects.
Work Arrangement
Hybrid: 4x per month on-site work
Hours: 5:00 AM to 2:00 PM (Manila)
Workdays: Monday to Friday OR Tuesday to Saturday
