About the Role
Acts as a technical / delivery lead and main person for the team on design and development of business intelligence content and best practices used in analytics and business intelligence including but not limited to Power BI, Tableau, etc
The position is also responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of key performance indicators (KPIs) across the organization. This role involves collaborating with various departments to define and track KPIs that align with strategic objectives, ensuring data accuracy, and reporting insights to support decision-making.
Roles and Responsibilities:
As Visualization Engineer:
- Use Business Intelligence Tools to design analytics dashboards for management. Develop dashboard visualizations, metrics, KPI
- Design and develop reports/ dashboards/ analytic outputs used by Business Strategy and Transformation
- Perform full lifecycle of data analyst activities include conceptualization to operationalization. Provide critical thinking to look at numbers, trends, and data to generate insights source data profiling and analysis.
- Manage resource allocations to demands approved by the business and the analytics leads / application domain leads and ensure that these demands are met
- Manages the end-to-end delivery model of Business Strategy and Transformation projects related to data visualizations and projects
- Support ad-hoc requests on reporting needs by CEO and other functional teams as required
- Consulted on data sources and requirements, design and implement processes and model for complex, large-scale datasets that is used for modelling, data mining, and other purposes
As Enterprise Dashboard Lead:
- Collaborate with department heads to identify and define relevant KPIs.
- Oversee data collection processes to ensure accuracy and consistency
- Work with data management teams to maintain data integrity and quality.
- Analyze performance data and generate reports on KPIs for various stakeholders.
- Create dashboards and visualizations to provide insights on performance trends.
- Evaluate existing KPIs and propose adjustments to improve effectiveness.
- Identify areas for operational improvement based on KPI analysis.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure understanding and utilization of KPIs.
- Train staff on KPI reporting tools and data interpretation.
- Manage projects aimed at enhancing KPI monitoring processes and tools.
- Develop timelines and ensure project milestones are met.
Minimum Job Requirements:
- Educational Background: A degree in a relevant field such as computer science, data science, statistics, mathematics, business analytics, or a related discipline. Advanced degrees (Master's or Ph.D.) are often preferred.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of visualization and data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Python, R, Tableau, Power BI) and statistical methods.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze complex datasets and derive meaningful insights.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present findings to diverse audiences.
- Leadership: Experience in leading teams and managing projects, with strong organizational skills.
- Business and Life Insurance Industry Acumen: Understanding of Life Insurance business operations and the ability to align data insights with business strategy.
