Job Description:
Data Transformation Team Lead will be responsible for leading a central team that ensures Data Readiness of Lonza’s global manufacturing sites for the global deployment of the strategic SAP S/4HANA ERP Transformation program “Nexus”. Key responsibilities include leading the team operationally supporting the preparation of S/4HANA ERP deployments with Master- and Transactional Data Cleansing / Harmonization, Data Migration and Data Management stabilization post go-Live.
This role demands a proactive leader with strong stakeholder management skills, technical expertise in data objects and governance, and the ability to drive cross-functional collaboration for continuous data improvement.

What You Will Do:
Data Migration Readiness
- Ensures data cleansing activities in coordination with data owners to ensure data migration readiness as per Nexus S/4HANA deployment plan.
- Coordinate closely with Nexus Data (Migration), IT and Business Process teams to ensure alignment of all activities with overall Data Migration Strategy and Planning.
- Oversee review and development data cleansing rulesets to meet business data requirements.
Data Harmonization Readiness
- Ensure Data Harmonization initiatives are finalized, approved and ready to be
included into the Data Migration. - Coordinate closely with Nexus Data, IT and Business Process teams as well as Data Owners to ensure alignment with overall Data Harmonization Strategy and Planning.
Data Migration Support
- Oversee the support of Data Migration activities including data mapping,
verification/validation and reconciliation. Coordinate with Nexus stakeholders and responsible Data Owners. - Ensure Quality relevant documentation requirements are adhered to.
Operative Master Data Management with SAP MDG (post go-Live)
- Act as a key contract for local and global businesses for master data CRUD
(Create, Read, Update, Delete) requests. Consult and advise business
stakeholders on their master data requests. - Monitor and process Master Data requests via SAP MDG and/or S/4HANA.
- Perform regular master data maintenance tasks including cleansing,
deactivation, and quality checks. - Ensure all activities are carried out in line with Data Governance frameworks and MDM Processes defined in SAP Signavio and SOPs.
Collaboration and Stakeholder Management
- Ensure alignment with Data & Information Architects and continuous improvement of operational data management.
- Track and report progress for the areas of responsibility.
Documentation and Training
- Ensure required documentation of all data activities is established in line with
program requirements. - Provide training and support to data owners to support consistent execution.
- Document lessons learned and contributed to continuous improvement efforts.
Data Governance and Compliance
- Protect the global S/4HANA template including its data model and data designs principles through standardized process execution.
- Monitor and resolve data-related issues and service ticket management. Ensure that disruptions and issues are assigned and addressed promptly.
What We Are Looking For:
- Proven experience in in SAP S/4HANA and SAP ECC Data Management, Data Migration and/or Digital Transformation Consulting.
- Strong knowledge of SAP MDG (Master Data Governance) and/or other Data Management or Data Migration tools.
- Expertise in Data Management, Data Cleansing and Harmonization.
- Deep understanding of Data Objects and Models in SAP S/4HANA, SAP ECC.
- Expertise in data profiling, mapping, validation/verification and reconciliations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on attention to detail.
- Project management and organizational skills, with experience in preparing and delivering training and workshops.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
