The Team:

The position is in Custom Geography team of North America Data Operations. Custom Geography team fits in the enhancement layer of Global Data Operations. This team is responsible for creating/maintaining geographical elements to provide the best information about the hierarchy, territory and geo-boundaries for all our customers (OEM’s, Financial companies, Media companies etc).

We work with our customers to ensure that standard geographies are assigned to a custom level defined by the customer.

“Custom” Geography is a service we offer to our customers. It is the customization of geography, based on standard geography. Standard geographies are the State, County, Census Tract, Zip, DMA, etc….. boundaries. We manage monthly changes that are received.

Team members resides globally: 2 in India and 1 in US for now. This position will be an addition to India location.

Responsibilities and Impact:

Dealers buy reports to assist in sales tracking and patterns: Market Area Reports, Cross Sell Reports, Polk Insight, Mapping (adhoc jobs/Polk Insight), Loyalty reporting.

Customers utilize Polk reports to monitor dealer performance, track organizational totals based on custom geography (Regions, Districts, Zone, Dealers)

We support (3) types of geography: Frozen zip code (constant for at least one year), Census tract (constant for at least 10 years), UDB (Universal Database) tract/zip (Methodology utilizing reporting at 2 levels).

  • Understand the overall process and customer needs

  • Understand data within tables, workflows along with business rules

  • Monitor and maintain relevant data files processing along with its onboarding. 

  • Follow guidelines and proactively raise alerts on functional/application/data risk. 

  • Understand deliverables and their impact. 

  • Communicate with Internal/External clients timely to ensure data files are processed as expected.

  • Create New Audits and support existing to mitigate anomalies. 

  • Propose improvements

What We’re Looking For:

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • 2-3 years of work experience within Data information/Data Management field.

  • Good Communication skills and time management

  • Knowledge of SQL

  • Proficient in use of MS office applications

  • Exceptional customer relationship skills

  • Ability to perform root cause analysis

  • Organized and able to collaborate; work well in a team
