Overview of the role:
Managerial profile with 5/7 years of experience in Data Strategy leadership roles, preferably within the gaming/gambling sector.
The Head of the Data Strategy plays a pivotal role in the definition of the strategic roadmap in the data domain to enable a data ready company also ensuring the governance with an end-to-end management of the Data initiatives.
A strong understanding of both business requirements and implications, as well as technical aspects related to data, is essential. The ability to engage effectively with both business and technology stakeholders is crucial, as Data Strategy must align with the business vision while considering the technical implications of data initiatives in terms of feasibility and operational capability.
A mindset focused on valuing data as a strategic asset within the company, supporting all key processes, is mandatory.
What you’ll do:
Join the team of Innovation Strategy and in particular the Data Strategy team directly to the Innovation Strategy Director with the mandate to:
Define and keep updated the Data Strategy Roadmap and the Data Governance Model.
Ensure that Data Strategy is in line with technological trend and regulatory developments.
Oversee the execution of the Data Initiatives, assessing the impact of initiatives on processes and vision, providing visibility to the stakeholders.
Support the validation process of the selection and adoption of technological solutions supporting Data Strategy and Data Governance.
Identify and resolve organizational issues that hinder the implementation of the Data Initiatives.
Monitor needs of company's departments, and assess Data Usage Pattern evolutions, in order to identify gaps or opportunities for improvement.
Promote Data-Driven Decision-Making culture, identifying and sponsoring opportunities for training and adoption of solutions that can improve data valorisation as a critical asset.
What you’ll bring:
Previous experience in data strategy / governance and business understanding.
Experience working in complex, cross-functional, and international environments.
Ability to define and lead effective governance models for data use cases, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities and long-term sustainability.
Ability to define and lead effective governance for Data initiatives, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities and long-term sustainability.
Familiarity with business dynamics, regulatory logic, and peculiarities of typical revenue models useful in identifying high-value use cases.
Understanding of Data technologies and Architectures (e.g., Data Platform, Databricks, Power BI etc) their practical applications, and technical and ethical limitations.
Strong capability in leading and managing multidisciplinary resources.
Experience in planning, monitoring and delivery of complex projects, including in multi-stakeholder and technology-intensive contexts.
Aptitude to interact effectively with business, IT, Risk & Compliance, Privacy and Top Management functions, facilitating alignment and sponsorship of AI initiatives.
Fluency in english is required, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
