Data Scientist Level 1 or 2

Data Scientist Level 1

Estimated annual base pay: $71,000 (minimum) - $92,000 (midpoint) - $114,000(maximum)

Data Scientist Level 2

Estimated annual base pay: $77,000 (minimum) - $100,000 (midpoint) - $123,000(maximum)

The Data Scientist is responsible for establishing and managing data architecture for the aero sourcing team. Their scope includes data governance, data technology roadmap, and system design.
 

Data Scientist I and 2

Key Responsibilities:

  • Defines data architecture for aero supply chain team
  • Serves as subject matter expert for data technology roadmap including artificial intelligence, autonomous agent based decision making, and large machine learning data models.
  • Develop Predictive Models: Designs and implements statistical models and machine learning algorithms to analyze complex datasets and generate actionable insights.
  • Data Processing and Management: Collects, cleanses, and organizes largescale data from various sources to ensure accuracy and reliability for analysis.
  • Collaborate Across Teams: Partners with cross functional teams to understand business requirements and integrate data driven solutions into organizational processes.
  • Mentor Junior Team Members: Provides informal guidance and support to new data scientists, fostering skill development and knowledge sharing within the team.
  • Communicate Analytical Findings: Presents complex data insights and technical information to stakeholders in a clear and understandable manner, facilitating informed decision making.

Data Scientist 1:

Key Skills:

  • Data Analysis: Proficient in analyzing large datasets to uncover trends and patterns.
  • Python Programming: Skilled in writing and debugging Python code for data manipulation and analysis.
  • Statistical Modeling: Knowledgeable in applying statistical models to interpret data and make predictions.
  • Data Visualization: Ability to create effective visualizations using tools like Tableau or Power BI.
  • SQL Querying: Expertise in writing and optimizing SQL queries for data retrieval and management.
  • Machine Learning: Familiarity with implementing basic machine learning algorithms for predictive analysis.
  • Data Cleaning: Competent in preprocessing and cleaning data to ensure data quality and integrity.
  • Reporting: Skilled in generating clear and concise reports summarizing data findings.
  • Analytical Thinking: Strong ability to systematically analyze information to inform decision making.
  • Team Collaboration: Effective in working within a team environment to achieve data driven objectives.

Other Requirements:

  • 4 Years Bachelor’s Degree in Technical or Related Field

Data Scientist 2

Key Skills:

  • Data Analysis: Proficient in analyzing large and complex datasets to identify trends and derive actionable insights.
  • Statistical Modeling: Expertise in developing and applying statistical models to support business decision making processes.
  • Machine Learning: Skilled in designing, implementing, and evaluating machine learning algorithms for predictive analytics.
  • Programming: Advanced proficiency in programming languages such as Python and R for data manipulation and analysis.
  • Data Visualization: Ability to create clear and informative visualizations using tools like Tableau, Power BI, or matplotlib.
  • Problem Solving: Capable of identifying issues and developing effective solutions using technical expertise and analytical judgment.
  • Communication: Effectively conveys complex data findings to nontechnical stakeholders in a clear and understandable manner.
  • Business Acumen: Understands key business drivers and aligns data science projects with organizational goals and strategies.
  • Collaboration: Works effectively within team environments, providing informal guidance and support to new team members.
  • Data Management: Knowledgeable in data warehousing, data cleaning, and database management to ensure data integrity and accessibility.
