WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?
Our clients are unique and their digital banking experience should be one-of-a-kind. RBC commercial credit products and services strive to empower our clients when they interact with us. Our team is designed to deliver products throughout the client’s journey, not projects; each lab is setup for agility and continuous delivery.
We are seeking a talented Data Scientist to join our team at RBC, where you will leverage data-driven insights to solve complex business challenges. In this role, you will design, develop, and deploy machine learning models and analytical solutions that drive innovation and strategic decision-making across the organization. You’ll be working to develop new and extend existing applications in the RBC Commercial and Small business portfolio.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for business improvement.
Develop and implement machine learning models and algorithms to address specific business problems.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., data engineers, product managers, business stakeholders) to translate requirements into actionable insights.
Communicate findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences through clear visualizations and reports.
Ensure data quality, integrity, and compliance with RBC’s data governance standards.
Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously improve analytical capabilities.
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?
Must have:
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in data science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
3+ years in data science, machine learning, or a similar role.
Proficiency in programming languages (Python, R, SQL) and machine learning frameworks (e.g., Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
Strong problem-solving abilities, statistical knowledge, and experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
Nice-to-have:
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is an asset.
Excellent communication, teamwork, and ability to explain complex concepts to diverse audiences.
