Iron Mountain is seeking a skilled Data Scientist to join our Global Finance Organization's team.

In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing data infrastructure and analytical tools to provide actionable insights and support strategic decision-making across the organization.

The Global Finance Organization's mission is to protect, deliver, create, and promote value through robust audit, control, and accounting environments, efficient transactions processes, and proactive performance management.

What You’ll Do

In this role, you will:

  • Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, re-designing, infrastructure for greater scalability, etc. 

  • Develop data solutions that allow us to build complex, forward-looking models using underlying data sets 

  • Build the infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources using SQL and GCP ‘big data’ technologies.

  • Build analytics tools that utilize the data pipeline to provide actionable insights into customer acquisition, operational efficiency and other key business performance metrics. 

  • Work with stakeholders including the Executive, Finance, Data and Design teams to assist with data-related technical issues and support their data infrastructure needs.

  • Keep our data separated and secure across national boundaries through multiple data centers and GCP regions. 

  • Work with Product, Data and Design teams to improvise existing designs or approaches. 

  • Data Ingestion roadmap from external or GCS sources to be handled 

What You’ll Bring 

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Fluency in Google suite (Sheets, Docs, Slides, Drive, etc.) 

  • Direct experience in the development of solutions, recommendations or outcomes 

  • Demonstrated leadership, analytical, organization, interpersonal, communication skills 

  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously. 

  • Experience in analyzing data to draw business-relevant conclusions and in data visualization techniques and tools 

  • Basic knowledge in generating process documentation 

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills including technical writing skills 

  • Significant SQL experience 

  • Google Studio and Tableau experience 

  • Detail oriented, analytical and inquisitive 

  • Ability to work independently and with others 

  • Experience with data modeling /analysis
