Department Description:

Digital analytics teams play a critical role in optimizing customers’ shopping, buying, and servicing journeys by analyzing behavior across web and mobile channels to uncover actionable insights. They translate complex digital data into clear insights, dashboards, and recommendations that improve customer experience, conversion, engagement, and overall digital performance. Acting as a bridge between business partners and data teams, they define measurement frameworks, interpret key journey KPIs, and enable data‑driven decisions that drive measurable business outcomes across the end‑to‑end customer lifecycle.

Role Summary:

As a data and analytics expert, you will deliver deep analytical expertise, translate complex data into actionable insights, and provide clear recommendations to cross-functional business partners across the organization. Your work will enable informed decisions at an enterprise level and help solve increasingly complex business problems.

In this role, TD will look to you for thought leadership. You will lead by influence—coaching, mentoring, and enabling peers to collaborate effectively and advance TD’s analytics capabilities for the future of banking.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Partner with business stakeholders to understand objectives and requirements; design and deliver accurate, timely analytical solutions
  • Analyze and integrate data from multiple sources using Python, PySpark, SQL, and other tools to produce analysis and reporting
  • Build insightful, functional, and visually compelling dashboards and visualizations to enable self-serve insights and action
  • Develop deep subject-matter expertise to serve as a trusted, strategic partner and provide data-driven thought leadership
  • Deliver proactive insights (verbal and written) through analysis, interpretation, and recommendations to identify risks, opportunities, and next best actions
  • Manage projects and stakeholder communications to deliver on milestones, timelines, and service-level expectations (SLAs)
  • Respond to partner inquiries and resolve issues; provide status updates, presentations, and training as needed
  • Operate effectively in a fast-paced data and technology environment leveraging multiple databases, platforms, and tools
  • Work independently and collaboratively, leveraging team knowledge and expertise to deliver outcomes
  • Contribute to a positive team culture through collaboration, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficiency with Python, PySpark, and/or SQL to manipulate data and derive insights from large, complex datasets
  • Experience with web analytics tools (e.g., Adobe Analytics or Google Analytics) is an asset
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI and/or Tableau
  • 3+ years of experience in analytics and reporting

Considered a Plus:

  • Experience with project delivery and collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, and GitHub
  • Experience leveraging cloud services and platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Databricks)

Job Responsibilities:

  • Works independently as a senior analyst/subject-matter expert and may coach and educate others
  • Recognized as a subject-matter expert within a given area
  • Oversees and independently performs end-to-end tasks, from intake through delivery
  • Focuses on short- to medium-term priorities (e.g., monthly to quarterly)

Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree or technical certificate (or equivalent work experience)
