Wells Fargo is seeking a Data Science Senior Manager to lead Branch Decision Sciences within Digital, Data & AI. This role plays a critical part in shaping the future of the physical branch, driving customer experience, operational efficiency, and banker enablement through advanced analytics and data‑driven decision making. You will lead a team of data science professionals, partner closely with senior Retail Banking and Distribution leaders, and own analytics that influence branch strategy, operating model transformation, and growth initiatives—all within a strong risk, governance, and compliance culture.

In this role, you will:
Own the end‑to‑end delivery of data science and analytics supporting branch strategy across Retail Banking.
Translate complex analytical insights into clear, actionable recommendations that inform senior leadership decisions.
Partner with cross‑functional stakeholders to shape branch of the future strategy, operating model evolution, and banker enablement.
Lead analytics to optimize the branch network and drive‑up channels, balancing customer experience, operational throughput, staffing, and financial outcomes.
Own analytics supporting Operating hours strategy, evaluating demand, efficiency, and performance.
Evaluate ATM capabilities and modernization opportunities, including transaction mix and migration insights.
Measure branch refurbishment and modernization impacts.
Support market growth initiatives, de novo branch strategy, and transaction migration efforts through advanced analytics and scenario modeling.
Lead transaction migration analytics, identifying opportunities to move low‑value transactions from assisted channels while supporting digital adoption and customer experience.
Reduce reliance on ad hoc analytics by advancing self‑service tools and scalable reporting.
Design and execute test‑and‑learn, pilot, and control frameworks to measure outcomes and support enterprise‑scale adoption.
Deliver analytics supporting New Money to Existing Customers
Lead Digital‑in‑Branch analytics, with a focus on banker‑led digital enablement and outcomes.
Provide Branch Financial Coaching analytics, linking coaching activity to customer relationships, production, and long‑term growth.
Evaluate training program effectiveness, identifying opportunities to improve banker performance and customer outcomes.
Lead and develop multiple teams of managers and data science professionals delivering moderate to high‑complexity analytics initiatives.
Establish and maintain strong standards for data accuracy, integrity, governance, and risk management.
Provide thought leadership on advanced analytics methods, experimentation, and best practices.
Required Qualifications:
7+ years of data science experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
3+ years of management or leadership experience
Master's degree or higher in a quantitative discipline such as mathematics, statistics, engineering, physics, economics, or computer science
Desired Qualifications:
Experience in Retail Banking, Branch Operations, Marketing, or Channel Analytics
Strong executive communication skills with the ability to influence senior leaders
Experience leading complex, cross‑functional analytics initiatives
Familiarity with Agile delivery methodologies
Experience modernizing analytics processes or operating models
Job Expectations:
Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.
This position offers a hybrid work schedule.
