Data Science Intern (Graduate - Summer 2026)

Position Purpose:

The Data Science Graduate Intern will support the MPS Analytics & Data Science team in applying statistical and analytical techniques to operational data sources. Day-to-day work will include:
  • Building and validating predictive or explanatory models using call center and CRM datasets.
  • Performing exploratory data analysis to identify key drivers of performance metrics.
  • Collaborating with data team, and business leaders to translate findings into actionable insights.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in Python and SQL for data extraction and analysis (Databricks is also preferred).
  • Curiosity, initiative, and collaborative mindset when working across cross-functional
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Knowledge of statistical modeling, machine learning fundamentals, and data storytelling.

Top three competencies needed:
  • Analytical resilience – ability to work through ambiguity and data quality challenges.
  • Communication and translation – clearly linking data insights to business value.
  • Technical adaptability – quickly learning new tools, data models, and processes.

Additional Details:

Location: Can work in any of the 50 US States.

Remote(summer): 40/hrs. a week, 12 week program (May-August2026)

Pay Range :$21-30/hr. based on background.

Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent undergraduate coursework completed. Must be enrolled in a graduate program at an accredited university or college in a field related to the hiring department through the internship period.
