We are seeking a top performing strategic business leader who has an interest or passion in using and improving the quality of data. This role is critical to driving business engagement on data for a group of domains, while driving the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of data for users to make informed decisions and self-service data and analytics. The ideal candidate will balance a deep business understanding of data with an appreciation for data quality and data governance.
This role is expected to manage a team of 5 – 20 individuals, potentially as a manager of managers. Strong leadership and team management experience is preferred
Key Responsibilities
Oversee the implementation and ongoing data governance activities for the assigned set of domains
Build strong stakeholder relationships with the business and technology stakeholders who support the domain
Oversee the creation and maintenance of data quality rules for the domain
Oversee the collection and maintenance of the Business Data Catalog for the domain
Drive timely resolution of data related issues for the domain
Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on data quality matters.
Qualifications
Prior experience in the banking industry is highly preferred
Significant business experience in one of the following areas:
Lending / Deposit / Market accounts and transactions
Financial risk (credit risk, market risk, liquidity risk, and interest rate risk)
Non-financial risk (Information risk, model risk, operational risk, and compliance risk)
Finance and accounting
Internal operations (HR, legal, procurement, audit) and reference data
Minimum of 10 years of experience, with 15+ years of experience highly preferred
Prior direct people management experience
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Skills
Prior experience with Collibra Data Quality, or similar data quality tool
The typical base pay range for this role is between $173K - $216K depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and location. This role may also be eligible for certain discretionary performance-based bonus and/or incentive compensation.
