Data Processing and Quality Control Lead- Primary Market Research (L6)
Overview
The Advisors Research Center (ARC) is a global research team within Mastercard delivering high quality primary research in support of Advisors & Consulting Services. As part of ARC’s growth, Global Facilities India (GFI) provides scalable quantitative research delivery across global markets.
This role sits within ARC’s Quant Research capability in GFI and is accountable for data processing quality, governance, and technical standards across primary market research projects.
Role
As the Data Processing & Data Quality Lead, you will provide technical oversight and quality governance across survey programming, fieldwork, data processing, and QC for global quantitative studies.
The ideal candidate brings strong hands on experience in data processing earlier in their career and now provides technical oversight, sets quality standards, and ensures consistent, high quality delivery at scale across teams
Key Responsibilities:
Data Processing & Quality Governance
• Own data processing standards, QC frameworks, and sign off criteria across ARC quantitative research.
• Ensure datasets are statistically sound, analysis ready, and consistent across markets and studies.
• Review and sense check key outputs for data integrity, structure, and validity prior to delivery.
Technical Oversight
• Provide guidance on weighting, significance testing, segmentation readiness, and statistical checks.
• Partner with survey programming teams to ensure questionnaire logic and data capture support clean downstream processing.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex data quality issues in collaboration with internal teams and vendors.
Capability & Process Enablement
• Coach and mentor DP team members on QC discipline, technical rigor, and best practices.
• Drive standardization through reusable templates, documentation, and quality checklists.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, consistency, and scalability across DP workflows.
Stakeholder & Vendor Management
• Partner with ARC researchers and project leads to translate research needs into robust DP and QC expectations.
• Oversee third party vendor outputs to ensure adherence to ARC standards, timelines, and quality benchmarks.
• Communicate risks, trade offs, and quality implications clearly to stakeholders.
Qualifications & Experience
• 10–12 years of experience in data processing, data quality, or technical survey data roles within market research (agency or in house).
• Demonstrated progression from hands on DP execution to senior technical oversight and quality governance.
• Proven ability to lead DP delivery, enforce QC governance, and resolve technical loopholes quickly and accurately.
• Strong experience managing multiple concurrent studies and working with global stakeholders in a deadline driven environment.
Technical Skills
• Strong experience with SPSS, R, Q (or equivalent DP/statistical tools) and advanced Excel.
• Familiarity with survey programming platforms (e.g., Decipher/Forsta, Confirmit, Qualtrics) for quality enablement.
• Experience with research analytics and visualization tools (e.g., DisplayR or similar) preferred.
• Exposure to advanced methods (MaxDiff, Conjoint) is a plus.
