Job Description & Summary

In privacy law and data protection at PwC, you will specialise in providing advice and guidance to clients on privacy laws and data protection regulations. You will help businesses navigate the complex landscape of privacy and data protection requirements, confirming compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Working in this area, you will assist in developing privacy policies, conducting privacy impact assessments, and implementing data protection measures to safeguard personal information.

Demonstrates thorough knowledge in the following categories:  

  • Exhibits understanding and knowledge of the privacy industry, including the regulatory environment, and how it relates to the implementation of privacy technology solutions 

  • Understanding of common privacy and information security industry standards and regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, CPRA, LGPD, PIPEDA, HIPAA / HITECH, COPPA, U.S. State Breach Disclosure Laws, CAN-SPAM, GLBA,) and industry frameworks (e.g., NIST, GAPP, ISO) 

  • Hands-on experience with privacy technology platforms like OneTrust, Securiti AI, BigID, Collibra or similar. 

  • Demonstrates hands-on experience in designing, developing, and maintaining APIs to enable seamless integration between privacy technology platforms (such as OneTrust, BigID, Collibra, Securiti AI) and other enterprise systems. 

  • Experience in architecting and implementing secure API connections to facilitate real-time data exchange, privacy impact assessments, and reporting functions within privacy management ecosystems. 

  • Skilled in troubleshooting, optimizing, and documenting API integrations to ensure robust, scalable, and compliant privacy technology solutions. 

  • Develops and executes privacy strategies, including executive-level reporting and the creation of product or program roadmaps, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and regulatory requirements. 

  • Leads privacy-focused project management activities, partnering with cross-functional teams to achieve privacy and data protection goals and drive successful project outcomes. 

  • Possesses a comprehensive understanding and hands-on experience around configuring and optimizing privacy technology solutions and integrating privacy technology solutions with other enterprise technologies to support ongoing compliance and risk mitigation efforts. 

  • Brings 4–6 years of experience in privacy technology, technical marketing IT, or related roles, with proven expertise in cookie management systems and advanced analytics tools such as Google Tag Manager 

  • Possesses an experience of leveraging Generative AI tool to automate or optimize a privacy-based process 

 

Demonstrates thorough knowledge in, or a proven record of success of, solving complex privacy and information governance issues through the following capabilities:  

  • Knowledge of common privacy-related issues that companies face across different industries 

  • Understanding and applying technical and operational industry leading practices involving privacy regulations/standards to assess the maturity of a client’s privacy program and providing recommendations and advice to improve it 

  • Knowledge of privacy and data protection technologies and other emerging technologies, such as artificial intelligence and machine learning, cloud, Internet of Things (IoT), and advanced analytics is advantageous 

 

Required Communication, Presentations and General skills: 

  • Excellent communication skills and executive presence that enable effective engagement with senior stakeholders 

  • Excellent written skills, ability to interpret a privacy/security scenario & document a summary 

  • Demonstrates proven extensive abilities with leveraging creative thinking and problem-solving skills, individual initiative, and utilizing Office 365, MS Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint). 

  • Communicating in an organized and knowledgeable manner in written and verbal formats including delivering clear requests for information and communicating potential conflicts 

  • Must communicate consistently and drive objectives, relying on fact-based decisions about risk that optimize the trade-off between risk mitigation and business performance 

  • Good presentation, project management, facilitation and delivery skills as well as strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities 

  • Develop/Implement automation solutions and capabilities that are clearly aligned to client business, technology and threat posture
