We are looking for an experienced Data Privacy Manager to provide expert guidance on data protection matters for Abbott’s operations in the Benelux region, UK, France, and beyond. This is a key advisory role where you will collaborate with senior leaders, global Legal and IT teams, and privacy stakeholders worldwide.
Based in Zaventem, Belgium, this position is primarily office-based.
What You’ll Do
Act as the main point of contact for privacy-related matters across Abbott’s business units.
Provide practical guidance on data processing activities and compliance with GDPR and other applicable laws.
Monitor adherence to privacy regulations and company policies, including training and awareness initiatives.
Support data protection assessments, incident management, and data subject requests.
Advise on risk assessments, including DPIAs and data transfer evaluations.
Maintain expert knowledge of privacy laws and best practices, ensuring Abbott remains compliant and proactive.
What We’re Looking For
Bachelor’s degree in IT, Information Security, or Privacy Law (preferred).
2–4 years of experience in data protection compliance within a legal, audit, or risk function.
Strong knowledge of GDPR and other EMEA privacy regulations.
Privacy or compliance accreditation is highly desirable.
Excellent analytical, project management, and communication skills.
Fluency in French and English; knowledge of health data regulations in France is a plus.
Independent, detail-oriented, and capable of managing diverse projects with minimal supervision.
