What You’ll Do

As a Data Privacy & Governance Intern, you won't just be observing; you will be an active contributor to our mission. This role is the embodiment of Own The Mission: you will support the implementation of privacy frameworks, conduct critical regulatory research, and help manage the lifecycle of our data. You will collaborate with legal, engineering, and product teams to ensure our digital bank remains a fortress of data integrity.

  • Assist in the review and development of the bank’s data privacy, data & AI governance policies, plans and processes to address new areas or gaps, including research and analyses on relevant data protection, AI governance and banking regulatory developments in the region and internationally.

  • Implement data governance solutions, metrics, reports and dashboards to improve efficiency, data accuracy and consistency

  • Support the monitoring and review of the bank’s data privacy risks, handling of queries and incidents relating to data protection.

  • Assist in the bank’s implementation of training and communications initiatives to raise awareness and engagement among the bank’s staff in data protection, data & AI governance, including the organisation of internal awareness events, briefings and activities.

What You’ll Need

  • Undergraduate in Law, Computing, Information Technology, Data Analytics, Business, Communications, Political Science or other relevant courses.

  • Practical understanding of data and AI governance laws and regulations and application of data privacy management, data and AI governance programmes, policies and processes for organisations, particularly for digital platforms, banking and finance.

  • Keen interest in understanding the business and technical requirements of data, information systems and implementation of organisational management software tools.
