NN is on a journey to become a data‑driven organization. As a Data Platform Engineer, you play a key role in this transformation by combining your skills in data engineering and DevOps on an Azure / Databricks data platform. You are crucial to the development and automation of our new data platform, making use of the latest technologies and tooling. Together with your fellow engineers, you build new functionalities every day to optimally serve our customers.
What you are going to do
Together with your colleagues, you maintain and further develop the platform. Your primary focus will be on the infrastructure and on automating and improving the deployment process. You are given room for creativity and ownership, because we strongly believe in the principle: “You build it, you own it, you maintain it.” Azure will be your greatest ally. In addition, users such as data modellers and data scientists regularly reach out with interesting challenges. By developing, introducing, and automating new components, you provide effective solutions. You also continuously look for ways to make it as easy as possible for colleagues to extract data from the platform, making their work significantly more efficient.
The Life & Pensions Data Platform (LPDAP) requires continuous improvement and expansion. To achieve this, we leverage the latest Microsoft technologies, such as Azure Data Factory and Azure Databricks. You will also work extensively with Azure DevOps and Git. Programming is primarily done in Python, Terraform, and Bash.
Further designing, improving, securing, and automating the entire CI/CD pipeline
Coaching team members in DevOps engineering, CI/CD, SDLC, and related topics
Collaborating with fellow data engineers to enable new data integrations
