Join our team as a Data Modeler for the IT Data domain within the CIO Data Analytics Platform (CIO DAP) at Group IT/CIO Office.
What you are going to do
The Data Modeler of the IT Data domain is responsible for development and maintenance of logical and physical data models that define the structure, relationships, and constraints of the data within the IT data domain and the CIODAP platform. This role ensures that data is structured efficiently, securely, and in a way that supports business intelligence, reporting, and decision-making processes. You will be working closely with data architects and data analysts to implement data solutions to streamline and support enterprise information management.
Key responsibilities:
Analysing and translating business needs into long-term solution data models and communicate these models and their usage
Translation of the conceptual data models into logical and physical models that are documented and maintained
Working with the data management team and its stakeholders to understand conceptual data models and data flows
Evaluating existing systems’ data models to validate consistency and efficiency and provide feedback for improvement
Reviewing modifications of existing systems for cross-compatibility and implementation of data strategies
Developing best practices for data coding to ensure consistency within the system and support analysis of the data
Define and govern data modelling and design standards, tools, best practices, and related development for enterprise data models

Salary between €5,363 and €7,661 (based on 40 hours per week) depending on your knowledge and experience

Who you are
You have a knowledge and experience with development of conceptual, logical and physical data models for databases and data warehouses
You have a knowledge and experience in creating and maintaining the horizontal data lineage - end to end data traceability
You have a basic knowledge of IT as a business
Furthermore you have:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
Knowledge and experience of data modelling techniques, such as 3NF and Dimensional modelling
Knowledge and experience of data warehousing architecture, such as Data Vault architecture and Medallion architecture
Strong understanding of data warehousing and ETL technologies (must have)
Experience with metadata management and related tools, such as Power Designer, Enterprise Architect, Data Modeler
Experience with data visualization tools, such as Power BI
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Excellent communication skills in Dutch & English, both written and verbal
