About the Role

Abbott Diabetes Care is committed to improving the lives of people with diabetes through advanced digital solutions and data-driven insights. We are looking for a Data Management Specialist who will support the implementation of our digital ecosystem across Healthcare Institutions (HCI’s) in the Netherlands.

In this role, you will ensure successful installation of ADC software solutions, act as a key point of contact for healthcare professionals, and collaborate closely with commercial and technical teams to optimize patient experience and digital adoption.

Primary Responsibilities

Installation & Technical Support

  • Install ADC software packages at customer sites and ensure compatibility with local IT environments.
  • Support software configuration, define users and access rights, and advise on optimal system settings.
  • Conduct proactive and reactive on-site technical interventions, including maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Translate local technical challenges into actionable insights for global teams and support the adaptation of solutions to local needs.

Customer Interface & Training

  • Act as the single point of contact for nurses, physicians, IT staff and administrators for all ADC software-related topics.
  • Train users on the use of ADC software, cloud solutions and related digital tools.
  • Ensure healthcare institutions leverage the digital ecosystem to increase patient acquisition and retention.

Cross‑Functional Collaboration

  • Serve as a key link between HCI’s, 3rd‑party service providers, sales and marketing teams.
  • Provide structured feedback from the field to enable continuous improvement.
  • Work closely with account managers to support commercial objectives and contribute to achieving sales targets.

Process Improvement & Data Insights

  • Analyze customer service data and translate findings into concrete actions to improve customer experience.
  • Identify process obstacles, propose improvement initiatives and support their implementation.
  • Support the continuous optimization of workflows within healthcare institutions to ensure effective use of ADC digital solutions.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, engineering, technical, commercial or related field, or equivalent work experience.

Knowledge & Technical Expertise

  • Experience with software installation, database management, networking protocols and cloud solutions.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
  • Ability to understand and combine both technical and commercial aspects of healthcare digital solutions.
  • Fluent in English and Dutch (verbal and written).

Skills

  • Strong communication, listening and problem‑solving skills.
  • Proactive mindset with ability to work independently and reliably.
  • Comfortable interacting with stakeholders at different levels within healthcare institutions.
  • Able to deliver clear presentations and user training.
  • Adaptable, eager to learn and capable of managing multiple field-based activities.
  • Collaborative team player across Sales, Marketing and Customer Service.

Experience

  • Minimum 4 years of experience with high‑value technical or digital solutions.
  • Experience in the healthcare sector or customer‑facing technical roles is an asset.
  • Experience working directly with clinical stakeholders (e.g., endocrinologists) is preferred.
  • Skilled in strategic discussions and building long-term customer relationships.
