About Woven by Toyota
Woven by Toyota is enabling Toyota’s once-in-a-century transformation into a mobility company. Inspired by a legacy of innovating for the benefit of others, our mission is to challenge the current state of mobility through human-centric innovation — expanding what “mobility” means and how it serves society.
Our work centers on four pillars: AD/ADAS, our autonomous driving and advanced driver assist technologies; Arene, our software development platform for software-defined vehicles; Woven City, a test course for mobility; and Cloud & AI, the digital infrastructure powering our collaborative foundation. Business-critical functions empower these teams to execute, and together, we’re working toward one bold goal: a world with zero accidents and enhanced well-being for all.

ABOUT
Arene's mission is to empower Toyota and its partners to deliver next‑generation vehicles with hardware‑agnostic software that can be updated to support new features at any time.
We are currently hiring multiple Data/ML Engineer Interns who may be placed across several teams within Arene. Your exact team assignment will be determined during the hiring process. Potential teams you may join include:
・Team 1: Vehicle Data
・Team 2: Software Data
No matter which team you’re on, you will collaborate with diverse groups, gain hands‑on experience, and contribute to projects shaping the future of Toyota’s software ecosystem.
TEAM
Team 1: Vehicle Data
Vehicle data, where Arene Data is responsible for ingesting, processing, and providing actual and simulated vehicle data to internal and external customers within the Toyota group with one of the main use-cases being the improvement of ADAS functionalities. That also includes a set of services like blurring for privacy or search algorithm for utilities, to make it easy and compliant to be used by the users.
Team 2: Software Data
Arene’s software data team provides a secure and scalable cloud location for the data generated by various tools and teams working on the software-defined vehicle. This platform enables data-driven decision-making, aligns with the Toyota Production System, enhances customer value, generates revenue, and reduces product time-to-market.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We are seeking a Data/Machine Learning Intern to join the Arene team and help design, build, and maintain workflows for large-scale data collection, processing, and analysis in mobility systems. You’ll work with backend services, cloud-based infrastructure, and data pipelines that help data users seamlessly gather and manage datasets from fleets of vehicles already in the market.
In this role, you’ll contribute to Arene’s mission of enabling secure, efficient, and scalable data utilization through a unified platform. You will collaborate with teammates from across Arene, Toyota engineering groups, and external partners to deliver innovative tools that accelerate data-driven mobility services and solutions worldwide.
