Who we are looking for
Data Intelligence Product and Operations Manager, Managing Director will lead and grow our Poland-based Data Intelligence Operations team. This role requires a strong strategic mindset, with the ability to define and execute an end-to-end data operations vision spanning data acquisition, enrichment, governance, productization, and distribution, aligned to SSDI’s long‑term growth objectives. The manager will closely collaborate with the US-based functional management team on the vision and strategy of the team.
- Process: This role will be responsible for managing various functions, including Client Lifecycle, Data Rights team, Product Management and Operations and Data Management.
- People: The Team Lead & Project Manager will manage employees under a matrix framework, in which core functions will have US-based management heads.
- Project: In addition to business-as-usual operations, the Data Intelligence Product and Operations Manager will take on various project management responsibilities.
Reporting Structure:
- Reports to the Head of Product Management and Operations, State Street Data Intelligence (SSDI). Acts as the senior Poland operating leader with direct people-management responsibility for the Data Intelligence operations.
- Will serve as matrix manager, alongside US based managers, for each of the core functions.
Team Collaboration:
- Will facilitate coordination/communication/collaboration with related GTS teams in Poland.
- Will operate across corporate functions to support SSDI efforts, including, but not limited to, billing, AMK/KYC, procurement, third-party risk management, GTS, risk and compliance, client onboarding, and sales.

What you will be responsible for
As Data Intelligence Product and Operations Manager, Managing Director you will cover process, project, and people management: As a Managing Director, this role provides senior strategic leadership across SSDI Product Management and Operations, with accountability for delivery, risk management, operating model effectiveness, and people leadership across the Poland operating footprint. The Managing Director is expected to modernize and scale SSDI’s end‑to‑end data operations by leveraging automation, advanced analytics, and emerging AI‑enabled tools to improve efficiency, quality, resilience, and speed‑to‑market across the full data and product lifecycle.
People:
- Lead and manage business-as-usual operations of the SSDI Poland-based team, including hiring, training, and performance management.
- Coordinate onboarding and training for new hires; develop strategic plans for staff development, resiliency, and succession planning.
Project and Process:
- Set and drive the longterm strategy for SSDI Data Operations, including operatingmodel design, tooling, automation, and use of AIenabled capabilities to scale data enrichment, quality assurance, monitoring, and governance activities.
- Provide Project Management for SSDI Poland-related strategic plans as they arise, including development and execution of project plans. Monitor project milestones, risks, and deliverables, ensuring timely execution.
- Ensure effective collaboration and communication between SSDI and GTS staff.
- Serve as primary liaison between SSDI US-based leadership and Poland and US-based GTS leadership.
- Support continuous improvement and operational and risk excellence across both teams.

Education & Preferred Qualifications
- Proven experience (10-15 years+) in successfully combining people, process, and project management at the same time to achieve targeted business outcomes.
- Experience managing teams across a variety of functions, including client life cycle, data operations, analytics, and technology.
- Strategic mindset and depth of experience in managing data-intensive operations, including demonstrated leadership in modernizing data platforms and operations through automation, AI/ML, and advanced data‑management technologies.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business, Data Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Fluency in English and Polish.
- Project Management certification (e.g., PMP) is a plus.
Additional Requirements
- Minimum 10 years of experience in operations, data management, or technology project leadership.
- Experience working with entry-level teams and developing career paths.
- Familiarity with data classification, routing, and basic coding practices.
Minimum Salary:
zł426 000 Annual
The minimum salary quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate ultimately works outside of this primary location, the applicable minimum salary may differ.
Salary will be determined based on factors such as the position, type of work performed, individual skills, job description, working hours, diligence, initiative, self-management, length of employment, availability, and the quantity and quality of work delivered, as well as other objective and non-discriminatory criteria relevant to State Street employees.
In addition to salary, employees are eligible to be considered for discretionary annual performance-based awards.
