Northrop Grumman is in need of a Data Insight Analyst to join the Warner Robins Data Analytics team within the Engineering organization. This role will report to the Manager of Computer Systems Analysis and will be an in-office position in Warner Robins, Georgia.
The selected candidate will support the day‑to‑day operation, maintenance, and user enablement of our business‑intelligence and data‑prep platforms. You will work closely with analysts, data engineers, database administrators and architects, as well as business stakeholders to ensure our data tools are reliable, secure, and performant.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Extract, transform, and validate large datasets from multiple sources (SQL Databases, HANA, Excel, etc) to ensure data accuracy and integrity
Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI and Tableau to support operational decision-making
Translate complex business requirements into clear data models, KPIs, and visual storytelling solutions
Perform advanced data analysis to identify trends, anomalies, and actionable insights that drive strategic initiatives
Bridge operational technology (OT) with IT systems, ensuring high-performance data visualization, logging, real-time control, and report performance optimization.
Manage data refresh schedules and implement governance standards for dashboard consistency and usability
**This position may be filled at either Data Insight Analyst or Principal Data Insight Analyst level.**
Basic Qualifications For Data Insight Analyst (Level 2):
Must have High School Diploma/GED and 6 years related experience in data analytics, reporting, or business intelligence roles
Will also consider Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, Mathematics, Business Analytics, or a related field with 2+ years of experience in data analytics, reporting, or business intelligence roles
Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience developing interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI and/or Tableau in a professional environment
Strong proficiency in SQL for complex data extraction and transformation, including joins, subqueries, CTEs, and performance tuning
Demonstrated experience building and managing data models, including relationships, calculated fields, DAX measures, and data validation processes
Proven ability to translate business requirements into KPIs, metrics, and visually compelling dashboards for operational and executive audiences
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to clearly present insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Basic Qualifications For Principal Data Insight Analyst (Level 3):
High School Diploma and 9 years of related experience in data analytics, reporting, or business intelligence roles
Will also consider a Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, Mathematics, Business Analytics, or a related field with 5+ years of experience in data analytics, reporting, or business intelligence roles; Master's Degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, Mathematics, Business Analytics, or a related field with 3+ years of experience in data analytics, reporting, or business intelligence roles
Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience developing interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI and/or Tableau in a professional environment
Strong proficiency in SQL for complex data extraction and transformation, including joins, subqueries, CTEs, and performance tuning
Demonstrated experience building and managing data models, including relationships, calculated fields, DAX measures, and data validation processes

Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Data Science, or related discipline with 3+ years of experience in enterprise-level business intelligence environments
Advanced expertise in Power BI (including complex DAX development and performance optimization) and Tableau (including Tableau Prep and advanced calculations)
Experience implementing data governance standards, BI best practices, and scalable reporting frameworks across departments
SCADA with Ignition experience. Responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining industrial automation systems, with a heavy focus on Ignition Perspective, Vision modules and dashboards. Experience with Python scripting, and database integration (SQL) to improve manufacturing efficiency and operational visibility
Experience bridging operational technology (OT) with IT systems, ensuring high-performance data visualization, logging, and real-time control
Ignition Core or Gold Certification Experience with Sepasoft MES

Primary Level Salary Range: $72,100.00 - $108,100.00Secondary Level Salary Range: $89,400.00 - $134,200.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
