Job Description:

  • Manage the design, build, deployment and operation of technology architecture, solutions and software.
  • Apply data extraction, transformation and loading techniques in order to connect large data sets from a variety of sources.
  • Manage the capture, extraction, and storage to utilize structured and unstructured data coming from internal and external data sources.
  • Oversee the establishment of processes and build structures based on business and technical requirements to channel data from multiple inputs, route appropriately and store using any combination of distributed (cloud) structures, local databases, and other applicable storage forms as required.
  • Develop and maintain infrastructure systems (e.g., data warehouses, data lakes) including data access APIs.
  • Prepare and manipulate data using Hadoop or equivalent MapReduce platform.
  • Manage design standards and assurance processes for software, systems and applications development to ensure compatibility and operability of data connections, flows and storage requirements.
  • Review internal and external business and product requirements for data operations and activity and suggest changes and upgrades to systems and storage to accommodate ongoing needs.
  • Position may be eligible for part-time telecommuting.

Job Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent* in Computer Science, Information Systems Technology, or a closely related discipline and 5 years of experience in building, designing, and developing Python programs using Spark, SQL, and AWS cloud technologies.

40 hours per week 8:45 AM to 5:15 PM.

Work location: 8200 Jones Branch Drive, McLean, VA 22102. Position allows for part-time telecommuting.

This position has an annualized market-based salary range of $130,000 - $196,000 and is eligible to participate in the annual incentive program. The final salary offered will generally fall within this range and is dependent on various factors including but not limited to the responsibilities of the position, experience, skill set, internal pay equity and other relevant qualifications of the applicant.
