As the Data Engineer Intern, you'll support the design, development, and maintenance of data platforms and solutions under the guidance of senior engineers. You'll work with cross-functional teams to learn best practices in building data integration solutions and services to meet business needs.
About the role
Assist in identifying and investigating data quality issues under senior engineer guidance
Support the development of Extract, Load, Transform (ELT) processes from various data repositories
Learn to work in hybrid data environments with on-premises and cloud data warehouses
Assist in designing and documenting relational and non-relational data models
Support monitoring and troubleshooting performance issues in data environments
Participate in code reviews and knowledge-sharing sessions with the team
About you
Minimum Qualifications
Currently enrolled in or recent graduate of a degree program in computer science, information technology, or a related field
Foundational knowledge of relational and non-relational databases
Basic proficiency writing SQL queries
Familiarity with at least one functional or object-oriented programming language
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to learn quickly
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Python or similar scripting languages
Familiarity with cloud services (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud)
Understanding of REST APIs and data integration concepts
Exposure to CI/CD tools or automated deployment processes
