About the Role
NN Group is strengthening its Group Finance & Risk data platform, a strategic capability that supports reliable reporting, regulatory processes, and data‑driven decision‑making. We are looking for a Medior Data Engineer to contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of high‑quality data solutions within this domain.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, optimize, and maintain data pipelines using SQL, Python, and Databricks
Implement and manage data transformation models using dbt
Contribute to the enhancement and governance of NN’s Group Finance & Risk data platform
Collaborate with analysts, architects, and domain experts to deliver consistent and controlled data outputs

About You
Strong proficiency in SQL and Python
Hands‑on experience with Databricks
Experience with ETL/ELT processes and data modeling
Familiarity with dbt or strong motivation to learn it
Structured, detail‑oriented, and comfortable working in regulated and data‑sensitive environments
A team player with strong communication and problem‑solving skills

How we hire
Send us your CV in English. If we find relevant experience there, we’ll reach out to you right away and arrange an interview. We usually have a standard two-round interview process. The first round is with our HR and local hiring manager for initial prescreening, which helps us quickly see if there’s a mutual fit. If we both see potential, you’ll move on to the second round, where you’ll meet with our stakeholders from the Netherlands. This way, you get to know the team and how we work, and we can dive deeper into your experience and technical skills. If everything clicks, you’re in!
