Data Engineer

Job Description:

We are looking for a Data Engineer to support data validation and analysis for a backend replatform project. This role will allow us to accelerate the feedback loop between data and engineering teams in order to deliver the full scope of financial market data with the required timeliness, accuracy and completeness to satisfy product needs.


You Will

  • Design and build automated solutions for the validation of large data sets that would otherwise require manual effort

  • Partner with subject matter experts on both data and engineering teams to troubleshoot suspect data results

  • Write clean and readable code and optimized SQL queries.

  • Export results of analysis into Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets

  • Provide detailed analysis on data


You Have

  • Technical degree or equivalent experience, preferably in combination with a Finance or Business field

  • 0-2 years of experience in SQL and Python with applications for data analysis.

  • Strong analytical skills for identifying data patterns and troubleshooting issues

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Experience in delivery through agile practices

  • An openness to different views and opinions and an appreciation for team diversity


Preferred

  • Experience with version control systems like Git

  • Experience with cloud services including AWS and GCP


Work location 

  • Princeton

  • Hybrid: 2 days onsite per month

Pay Range: $70,000 - $85,000
