You will sit on the Data Engineering Team, which develops data pipeline frameworks, improve our modern data platform, and support the teams that rely on it. You'll work with teams across the company to understand their needs and build systems to unlock operational efficiencies or analytic insights. Our solutions benefit everyone including Analysts, Product Managers, Marketers, Developers, Executives, Coaches, Players, and Parents! This co-op is a hands-on learning opportunity: you'll contribute to meaningful projects, gain exposure to modern data tools, and build skills to set you up for a career in data engineering.
Help develop and maintain data pipelines and systems that power analytics and operations across the organization.
Participate in the full software development lifecycle — from gathering requirements and planning to implementation, reviewing, testing and release.
Improve existing systems' performance, observability, reliability, and scalability.
Be an active member of an Agile team, participating in sprint planning, grooming, and retrospectives.
Learn how to use industry-standard tools such as Airflow, Docker, AWS, Kafka, DBT, and Snowflake.
Work with other data engineers on your team and engineers on other teams to deliver impactful data products.
Currently enrolled in a full-time undergraduate degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics or a related field.
You've completed at least 3 years of your degree or have at least 1 prior related co-op/internship experience.
Excited to learn how data powers analytics and guides decisions at a data-driven company.
Some familiarity with functional/object-oriented programming (preferably Python), SQL, databases and data warehouses.
Enjoy writing well documented concise code.
A strong communicator who enjoys collaborating with others to solve complex problems efficiently.
Experience in version control tools ( e.g. - Git, Bitbucket)
Hands-on experience working on real data engineering projects.
Exposure to modern tools, platforms, and best practices in data engineering.
