We are seeking a Data Engineer - Associate who can work across the full data lifecycle—from integrating and transforming data to delivering business-ready reports and analytics solutions. This role sits at the intersection of data engineering and analytics, supporting both backend data processes and the development of reporting solutions used by business teams. The ideal candidate is comfortable working with complex data, quickly learning business concepts, and translating requirements into scalable data solutions. The role involves close collaboration with business stakeholders to understand reporting needs, design efficient data models, build automated data pipelines, and deliver clear and reliable reports that support operational and strategic decision-making.

  • Partner with business stakeholders across teams to gather requirements, understand business rules, and translate reporting needs into technical solutions.

  • Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines, data models, and automated workflows that support reporting and analytics.

  • Develop and maintain Power BI, SSRS, or other reporting solutions that transform complex datasets into clear and actionable insights.

  • Build and maintain SQL-based datasets and transformations to support reporting and data analysis.

  • Implement and support automation and integration solutions using tools such as Python, APIs, or cloud services where appropriate.

  • Collaborate with data owners and business teams to improve data quality, consistency, and reliability.

  • Break down complex problems into manageable components and deliver solutions independently.

  • Perform code reviews, testing, and validation to ensure data accuracy and reliability.

  • Self-manage development work by planning tasks, tracking progress, and delivering projects on schedule.

  • Contribute to documentation, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement of the team’s data workflows.

What you should bring

  • BA/BS degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Mathematics, or equivalent experience.

  • 5+ years of experience working with relational databases and SQL. Strong proficiency with Microsoft SQL Server and Azure SQL preferred.

  • 2+ years of experience developing reports or dashboards using tools such as Power BI, SSRS, or Tableau.

  • Experience with Python, scripting, or automation for data processing, integration, or workflow improvement.

  • Experience working with ETL or data pipeline development.

  • Familiarity with Microsoft technology stack and Azure services such as Azure Data Factory or Azure Functions is a plus.

  • Strong ability to understand business rules and translate them into data logic and reporting solutions.

  • Experience supporting end-to-end analytics workflows, from data preparation to report delivery.

  • Experience using AI-assisted development tools (e.g., ChatGPT, coding assistants) to improve engineering productivity is a plus.

  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • 401K:Bridge Investment Group will match your contributions dollar-for-dollar, up to 6% of your pay. These contributions are fully vested immediately. Eligible employees are automatically enrolled at a 4% contribution rate. *The employee must be at least 21 years of age and have worked for the Company for at least 60 days.
  • Paid Time Off: Employee will accrue 5.23 hours of paid time off per pay period for a total of 17 days per year.
  • 11 Paid Holidays per year.
  • Following six (6) months of employment at the Company, you will be eligible per birth, adoption or placement of a child for four (4) weeks of paid parental leave as the primary caregiver to the child or two weeks of paid parental leave as the secondary caregiver to the child. Following two years of employment at the Company, you will be eligible for twelve weeks of paid parental leave per birth, adoption, or placement of a child if you are the primary caregiver of the child.
  • Tuition Reimbursement: Up to $5,000 per year of pre-approved tuition expenses will be reimbursed upon submission of approved documentation. Repayment obligations may apply if employment terminates prior to 24 months.
