Technical Skills Requirements
- Strong experience integrating and transforming data from multiple heterogeneous sources.
- Proficiency in building ETL/ELT pipelines using SQL, Python, and modern data engineering frameworks.
- Advanced skills in complex SQL development, performance tuning, and query optimization.
- Experience working with SQL Server, including optimization and migration efforts to Databricks (Spark SQL / PySpark).
- Practical experience with Data Engineering platforms such as:
- Airflow for orchestration
- Redwood (or Redwood-based pipelines, scheduling, or workflow orchestration)
- Databricks as a compute & engineering platform
- Experience with Cloud platforms, especially:
- Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Databricks on cloud
- (Plus AWS/Azure familiarity is beneficial but not required)
- Ability to automate and implement complex business logic at scale.
- Strong Python skills with experience transitioning and maintaining ML model pipelines.
- Familiarity with AI/ML tools, model monitoring, and basic MLOps practices.
- Hands‑on experience with Tableau or Power BI for dashboarding and visualization.
- Exposure to supply chain/logistics domain is a strong plus.
- Excellent communication, critical thinking, and stakeholder‑management skills.
- Empathetic, team-first mindset: helpful, easy‑going, selfless, and collaborative.
- Willingness to stretch and support the team during critical periods.
- Bonus traits: proactive, detail‑oriented, and comfortable with fast-moving environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Ingest, merge, and transform data from multiple sources into clean, analysis‑ready datasets.
- Build, monitor, and optimize robust data pipelines, ensuring performance, reliability, and scalability.
- Manage and streamline high‑visibility SQL workflows, including weekly operational monitoring (Sundays).
- Lead/support the migration of SQL Server workloads to Databricks, ensuring high performance and consistency.
- Take full lifecycle ownership of Python‑based ML models—transition, deployment, monitoring, and updates.
- Ability to manage large datasets and combine information from multiple sources
- Performance tuning and debugging of complex SQL server structures
- Partner closely with cross‑functional teams to deliver complete end‑to‑end data solutions.
- Handle ad‑hoc data analysis and data request tasks to support business teams.
- Contribute to dashboard creation and improvements in Tableau/Power BI.
- Document workflows, best practices, and processes, ensuring clarity and long‑term maintainability.
- Participate in broader team initiatives, including CSR/community activities.
- Serve as a positive, supportive, and accountable team member who fosters a healthy work culture.
