The Screening Solutions organization supports accurate, compliant, and timely background screening through the Court Research and Retrieval Group (CRRG) and Service Centers. The team specializes in researching, interpreting, and delivering public record information sourced from courts, state agencies, and trusted partners. By collaborating across business units and leveraging standardized processes, the team ensures high-quality results that meet both regulatory requirements and customer expectations.
The Records Research Specialist is an experienced individual contributor responsible for researching and analyzing public record information for background screening purposes. This role supports Screening Solutions operations by reviewing, interpreting, and fulfilling court and public record data with a high degree of accuracy and compliance. The position may be based in CRRG or a Service Center environment and requires the ability to work independently while managing complex search types and exceptions.
Research and review public record information using websites, electronic court access systems, and internal and external databases.
Interpret court records and other relevant information obtained from courts, state agencies, and field research partners.
Accurately fulfill, edit, and modify court and database search results to ensure compliance with company standards and completeness of delivered products.
Conduct additional research as needed to meet customer expectations while achieving or exceeding established productivity and accuracy benchmarks.
Independently handle complex or specialized tasks, including customer support, complaint and dispute resolution,
Participate in cross-training initiatives within and across teams to ensure process consistency and achievement of organizational goals.
Manage specific state, regional, or customer responsibilities, including monitoring workflow or case volume, tracking delayed cases, updating status information, and collaborating with customer service or support teams.
Develop professional relationships with court personnel and external agencies to better understand processes and policies and to support efficient, effective data retrieval across multiple court systems.
High School Diploma required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
Preferred academic or professional background in Criminal Justice and/or Paralegal Studies.
Minimum of one year of experience as a Records Coordinator or equivalent industry experience preferred.
Proven written and verbal communication skills with excellent organizational abilities.
Effective interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate across teams and stakeholders.
Proficiency with Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office applications.
Experience working with or applying AI-based tools or solutions preferred.
