We have a great opportunity for a Data Centre Operations Shift Team Leader based in our Data Centre in Dublin. This is a key role in our Data Centre Operations, which provides best in class operation and maintenance for our customers critical power generation sites.

The role focuses on system monitoring, implementation of procedures and SSOW, equipment checks and system maintenance and repairs for the client equipment. 

Our ultimate goal is to maximise the availability and efficiency of assets under our control. The role includes the direct line management of the Data Centre AP Shift Team, ensuring compliance with industry regulations, best practice and contractual obligations.

The shift team leader plays a key role in limiting our financial exposure related to unplanned outages and ensures compliant operation in line with the procedures and standards set out.

Role Responsibilities

  • Monitoring customer assets to maximise efficiency in line with contractual terms

  • Managing and prioritising incoming event notifications to comply with relevant contractual obligations

  • Providing professional, concise communications to a variety of internal and external customers and stakeholders

  • Maintain accurate records of all tasks undertaken on the monitoring tool and asset management system.

  • Ensuring a comprehensive and thorough handover takes place between shift teams to maintain continuity of safe operations and ensure ongoing knowledge of work activities.

  • Working efficiently in an SLA (Service Level Agreement) driven team environment

  • Daily site inspections of mechanical & electrical Engineering systems and technical equipment.

  • Ensure the site's environmental conditions provide a safe work environment.

  • React to Building Management System alarms, and complete emergency actions as set out in the agreed procedures.

  • Issue permits and oversight of third-party vendors, ensuring compliance with company-developed processes, procedures, and all applicable laws and regulations.

  • Producing reports detailing asset availability and performance patterns

  • Adhering to all applicable company policies, procedures and business ethics codes

  • Mentoring and training of new team members

  • Coaching of team members to improve their skill sets and improve the service

  • Motivate the team to allow successful navigation of valuable and relevant objectives

  • Employee a continuous improvement approach of procedures to maintain the efficiency of the team and service provided

Qualifications

Degree in a suitable electrical/mechanical/energy (or closely related) engineering discipline, accredited by the relevant engineering institution, is preferred Or equivalent experience
