Professional Background and Experience
● Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or Computer Science).
● At least one year of experience in a technical support role within a data center or IT infrastructure environment. Experience in handling data center equipment such as PDUs, UPSs, and HVAC systems is highly advantageous.
Professional Qualifications & Training
● Certifications in data center management, such as Certified Data Center Professional (CDCP) or similar, are highly preferred. Training in emergency response and safety protocols specific to data centers would also be beneficial.
Knowledge and Skills
● Technical Skills
Fundamental knowledge of data center components, including servers, storage systems, network infrastructure, power distribution units (PDUs), uninterruptible power supplies (UPSs), and cooling systems.
● Specific Knowledge and Skills: Candidates must possess in-depth knowledge of data center infrastructure elements, such as power distribution, cooling systems, and general IT equipment maintenance. Understanding of compliance and safety standards applicable to data centers is crucial.
● Essential Capabilities: Ability to diagnose and resolve issues efficiently, knowledge of preventive maintenance routines, and familiarity with operational compliance requirements are essential. Skills in using management software for monitoring and reporting are also necessary.

● Technical Skills: Ability to perform basic repairs and maintenance on data center equipment. Proficient in using diagnostic tools and software for managing data center environments.
● Problem Solving: Effective at troubleshooting and resolving issues that arise within the data center environment.
● Communication: Strong communication skills for documenting issues and actions, and for interacting with team members and external partners.
● Adaptability: Capable of responding to emergencies or changes in the environment quickly and efficiently.
