Data Architect / Cloud Architect (Architecture Review & Advisory) CONTRACT - REMOTE

Broadridge is Growing! We are seeking an experienced Cloud & Data Architect for a 3‑month contract to review the overall system architecture and provide expert feedback, recommendations, and improvements. The architect will assess frontend, backend, serverless, security, and data layers to ensure scalability, performance, cost‑efficiency, and compliance with best practices. The role requires strategic oversight and actionable recommendations from Week 1.

Work-Mode: This is a remote role where you will work off-site. Travel is limited and generally used for team learning and collaboration meetings.  

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and evaluate the overall application and cloud architecture end to end
  • Assess frontend, backend (Python/Lambda), and serverless implementations
  • Review data architecture including DynamoDB, S3, encryption, and KMS configurations
  • Evaluate security architecture including IAM, API Gateway, WAF, Cognito/Azure AD SSO integration
  • Assess scalability, reliability, fault tolerance, and performance optimization
  • Review CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Terraform, Artifactory) and deployment practices
  • Provide recommendations for cost optimization and resource efficiency
  • Identify architectural risks, bottlenecks, and improvement areas
  • Ensure alignment with AWS Well‑Architected Framework & best practices
  • Deliver architecture review documentation and actionable improvement roadmap
  • Provide technical guidance to frontend and backend developers

Qualifications:

  • Strong experience in AWS cloud architecture and serverless design
  • Deep understanding of data architecture (DynamoDB, S3, encryption, KMS)
  • Experience reviewing and optimizing serverless and microservices architectures
  • Strong knowledge of security architecture (IAM, WAF, API Gateway, SSO integrations)
  • Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
  • Familiarity with AWS Architecture Framework
  • Proven experience conducting architecture reviews and providing strategic recommendations
  • Strong documentation and stakeholder communication skills
  • Ability to provide clear, actionable feedback within short timelines

Hourly range $65-78/hr
