Data Architect

Langley AFB, VA Full time
Data Architect

The Opportunity:

For an organization to succeed in today’s operational environments, especially within the Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) domain, it needs to properly collect, store, and organize its data. Effective data management enhances mission outcomes, enabling more timely and accurate decision-making. As a data architect, you know how to apply your creative thinking and analytical mindset to help organizations optimize data assets for mission-critical results. We’re looking for an experienced data architect like you to deliver leading-edge solutions for national security and multi-domain ISR missions.

As a Data Architect on our national security team, you’ll use your extensive technical expertise to design data architecture solutions for multi-domain intelligence integration, data process automation, and operational resilience. You’ll address complex ISR data challenges by building secure data pipelines, integrating intelligence datasets, and developing scalable data solutions that can operate effectively in contested or degraded environments. Working closely with ISR operators, engineers, and mission analysts, you’ll create actionable architectures that unify data across domains like SIGINT, GEOINT, and CYBERINT into cohesive intelligence streams.

In this role, you’ll grow your technical expertise, apply best practices, and use tools such as SQL, Python, Elasticsearch, and AWS to design database schemas, data models, ETL pipelines, and real-time intelligence processing systems. You’ll facilitate cross-team collaboration to implement accessible and mission-focused data solutions while supporting cutting-edge AI and ML integrations. By designing secure data workflows and enabling automated analysis, you will ensure warfighters and intelligence professionals have access to accurate, real-time information when it matters most.

With your drive to establish processes and lead technological innovation, you’ll make a lasting impact on national security and ISR mission success.

Join us. The world can’t wait.

You Have:

  • 5+ years of experience with data architecture, including designing conceptual, logical, and physical data models

  • 3+ years of experience integrating structured and unstructured data sources into scalable and secure pipelines

  • 2+ years of experience developing or managing ETL or ELT workflows and automation pipelines for data ingestion and processing

  • Experience with relational and non-relational database systems such as SQL, PostgreSQL, or NoSQL, including MongoDB or DynamoDB

  • Knowledge of tools and platforms such as AWS cloud environments, Elastic Stack, or Docker

  • Ability to translate requirements from ISR stakeholders into actionable data architecture designs and technical solutions

  • TS/SCI clearance

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or Systems Engineering

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience with AI and ML techniques for automating data analysis or enhancing workflows in operational environments

  • Experience building big data solutions or handling high-volume ISR datasets, including geospatial, sensor, and signal data

  • Knowledge of visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Kibana for delivering operational insights

  • Knowledge of ISR frameworks, including SIGINT or GEOINT processing, adversary modeling, or multi-domain operations

  • Ability to work in contested or degraded environments and strengthen data flows with secure practices

  • Master’s degree in Data Science, Analytics, or a related technical field
