As a pivotal leader in this transformation, the Data and AI Platform Activation Senior Manager will partner with leaders from Information Technology (IT) and Business Units (BUs) to drive the strategic vision and enterprise-wide activation of Data and AI platform capabilities.
This role is accountable for translating platform development into measurable business value by partnering closely with IT, business units, and executive leadership to align Data and AI capabilities with evolving business imperatives. You will lead the end-to-end activation lifecycle from align BU strategy, priority and solution discovery, through training, demos, and change management to ensure seamless onboarding and sustained adoption across global business units.
Serving as a trusted advisor and communicator, you will orchestrate cross-functional collaboration, manage the platform capability backlog, and oversee the progress of development, onboarding and value realization. By fostering innovation, upskilling talent, and driving clear, transparent communication, you will enable Boeing to unlock new business value and maintain competitive advantage through modern Data and AI solutions.
Position Responsibilities:
Partner with IT, business units, and executive leadership to ensure Data and AI platform capabilities are tightly aligned with evolving business strategies and priorities
Own the end-to-end activation lifecycle, including sales engineering, solution discovery, training, demos, change management, and user onboarding to maximize platform adoption and business impact
Manage and prioritize the platform capability backlog, balancing business needs, technical feasibility, and resource allocation to deliver high-value solutions efficiently
Orchestrate collaboration across architecture, product management, data science, IT, and business teams to ensure seamless delivery and integration of Data and AI platform capabilities
Develop and execute change management strategies, including upskilling programs and community engagement, to empower users and foster a data-driven culture
Define and track KPIs related to platform usage, adoption, and business value; provide transparent, actionable insights to executive stakeholders
Collaborate with governance and security teams to embed data quality, privacy, and compliance standards into platform activation activities
Champion emerging technologies and best practices such as Data Mesh, generative AI, and MLOps to continuously evolve platform capabilities and maintain Boeing’s competitive edge
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor’s degree or higher
10+ years of experience in data engineering, data platform development, or related roles
7+ years of experience in data platform activation, product management, or related roles focused on enterprise technology adoption and change management
5+ years of experience in MLOPS, DEVOPS, data engineering, cloud data platform development such as AWS (Preferred), Azure or GCP
5+ years of experience working with executives developing Data and AI strategy
3+ years of experience leading and delivering AI solutions
3+ years of experience leading enterprise-wide activation and adoption of complex Data and AI platforms or technology solutions in large, matrixed organizations
3+ years of experience in business acumen with the ability to translate technical platform capabilities into measurable business value and strategic outcomes
Experience managing and prioritizing capability backlogs, coordinating cross-functional teams, and overseeing PMO activities to ensure timely delivery and value realization
Experience in driving change management, user onboarding, training, and enablement programs that accelerate adoption and foster a data-driven culture
Experience engaging senior executives and diverse business units
Experience working in agile, cross-functional environments and collaborating with architecture, IT, data science, and product teams
Experience with data governance, security, compliance, and ethical AI frameworks
Experience in implementing modern data technologies such as data fabric, data virtualization, data mesh, and ontology/knowledge graph
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Master’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
Experience with emerging technologies such as data fabric, data virtualization, data mesh, ontology/knowledge graph and hybrid cloud data ecosystems
Experience in developing and executing training, marketing, and community engagement programs to drive technology adoption
Experience building and leading geographically distributed, high-performing teams focused on platform enablement and user success
Experience fostering innovation and continuous improvement in data and AI platform environments

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary pay range: $174,250 – $251,850
