Global Sales Strategy & Operations (GSSO) is the team that helps shape Gartner's mission-critical sales priorities and works with sales leaders to drive tactical and analytical insights. As an associate on the GSSO team, you'll be at the forefront of the ongoing transformation of Gartner's sales force, which delivers approximately $4.9B in annual revenue and working to drive sustained double-digit growth. You will partner with business leaders across Gartner to support a global sales force comprised of more than 5,000 associates who sell to every major function, industry and market sector around the world.

About this role:

The role is a part of the Sales Strategy & Operations team in GSSO. The team is focused on helping leaders across GSSO and Sales make strategic decisions to improve performance, processes, and their overall functions, based on careful analysis and data. The Data Analytics Lead will join the Global Marketing Analytics team.

We are looking for highly analytical and detail-oriented data analytics Team Lead to join our growing analytics team who can collaborate and communicate well with Marketing stakeholders. The person will be responsible for developing key reports & insights to support business decision making and help formulate marketing strategy to position Global Marketing as an indispensable force fueling Gartner’s revenue growth.

What you will do:

  • Consult with marketing stakeholders to formulate and frame the business questions in the context of business objectives.
  • Gather & vet the relevant data, analyze the trends & patterns, construct story lines that support impactful / implementable insights to the business stakeholders.
  • Evolve metrics and support reporting automation & visualization across all Global Marketing reporting & Analytics.
  • Perform ad-hoc diagnostic analysis to identify operational challenges and promote best practices throughout the organization.
  • Build and maintain stakeholder relationships across marketing, IT and other marketing supporting Business Units.
  • Provide consistent, timely, recurring reporting and analysis
  • Serve as a mentor and career steward for fellow teammates
  • Steward for fellow teammates against individual and team performance goals

What you’ll need:

  • Bachelors degree with strong verbal & written communication
  • Minimum 5-8 years of experience in sales/marketing data analytics.
  • Strong hands-on experience with MI SQL databases is a must.
  • Strong hands-on strong experience with Microsoft Power BI a must.
  • Strong hands-on strong experience with Microsoft Power point is a must
  • Demonstrable Experience with Python, Eloqua, Advanced Excel preferred.
  • A successful history of processing and extracting business insights from large, disconnected data sets
  • Experience applying various analytic techniques (segmentation, regression, forecasting, etc.)
  • Strong ownership, project management and organizational skills with focus on results / timelines
  • Experience supporting and working with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment
