Why This Role Matters:

Group 1001 is looking for a college student to join us as a Data Analytics Intern at our Zionsville, IN, corporate office. The internship will run from May 18 to August 7, 2026. The Data Analytics Intern will support on-going enterprise data platform modernization efforts by working on the Data Solution Services team to operationalize analytics through data domains as we transition to a modern data platform.

How You'll Contribute:

  • Assist with data onboarding to Snowflake and data quality validation (profiling, cleansing, reconciliation) to ensure trusted, well-documented datasets.
  • Support data governance practices by updating data catalogs, lineage, and metadata to improve discoverability and compliance.
  • Enable user adoption by creating how-to guides, running demos, capturing feedback, and implementing a reusable new user on-boarding process
  • Build dashboards and analytical reports using Sigma

What We’re Looking For:

  • Undergraduate students completing their sophomore or junior year pursuing a degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Management Information Systems; or completed coursework related to data analytics or information systems
  • Availability to work full-time hours over the summer.
  • Familiarity with Insurance industry is ideal
  • Ability to clearly articulate complex information to others.
  • Detail oriented with strong focus on quality of deliverables.
  • Demonstrated ability to proactively identify and solve problems and issues of all types.
  • Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • Ownership and accountability for deliverables.
  • Ability to work independently and with a team.
  • Strong written and communication skills.
  • Ability to establish positive relationships and work effectively with any department.
  • Familiar with Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint)
