We're actively seeking a talented Data Analytics Consultant to join out team in Newport Beach, CA or Omaha, NE. As a Data Analytics Consultant you’ll move Pacific Life, and your career, forward by enabling cutting edge marketing and data driven solutions. You will fill a role that sits on a team of 7. Your colleagues will include analysts, technologists, strategists, and fellow marketing professionals.

How you'll help move us forward:

  • Collaborate closely with senior leadership to champion marketing automation initiatives, serving as the primary advocate and subject matter expert. Provide strategic guidance and thought leadership to ensure marketing automation aligns with and advances organizational objectives at the highest level.

  • Serve as the principal technical product owner and subject matter expert for the marketing automation platform and Customer Data Platform (CDP), shaping functional strategy and driving innovation.

  • Provide strategic leadership and consultation across the enterprise for automation, data management, and marketing technology best practices.

  • Solve unique and complex business problems in marketing with minimal to no oversight, architecting scalable, data-driven solutions with broad organizational impact.

  • Lead cross-functional teams in designing next-generation marketing automation architecture, collaborating with marketing strategy, analytics, IT, and business stakeholders.

  • Champion the adoption and optimal use of the CDP—oversee governance, advanced workflow creation, and ensure alignment with enterprise data strategy.

  • Consult on and inform enterprise strategy for Automation Studio, Journey Builder, Cloud Pages, and related tools; mentor technical practitioners and drive best practices.

  • Analyze business needs, scope requirements, and use cases to develop innovative, data-driven solutions and make high-level recommendations.

  • Liaise with CRM, Salesforce architecture, and enterprise data teams to ensure robust integration, data synchronization, and alignment with organizational goals.

  • Own and optimize the best practices for Marketing Cloud, Automation Studio, Email Studio, Query Studio, Journey Builder, Sales Cloud, Snowflake, and other platforms.

  • Manage and schedule periodic marketing data synchronization with enterprise data sources, ensuring data integrity and compliance.

  • Serve as the technical expert for orchestration of marketing automation and data platforms, supporting personalized, multi-channel campaigns.

  • Own and maintain master email templates (e.g., AmpScript) for DSP, DM, and Brand emails, ensuring consistency and technical excellence. Lead the development and integration of web-to-lead forms and related HTML assets to support end-to-end marketing automation.

  • Drive enterprise-wide adoption of new marketing technologies and automation solutions, including advancements in artificial intelligence, while staying ahead of industry trends and fostering a culture of innovation.

The experience you bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (engineering, computer science, data science, etc.).

  • 10+ years’ experience in marketing automation, data analytics, or related technical roles.

  • Certified in Marketing Cloud.

  • Expert-level proficiency in Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Automation Studio, Journey Builder, and CDP tools.

  • Deep experience with SQL, API development/integration (MuleSoft Anypoint Studio or similar), ETL tools, and web stack technologies (Adobe Analytics, DAM, Connected Assets).

  • Demonstrated ability to lead enterprise-scale, cross-functional technical projects and architect complex marketing automation solutions.

  • Exceptional problem-solving, critical thinking, and communication skills; able to translate between technical and business audiences.

  • Experience mentoring and developing technical talent across the organization.

  • Strong influencing, negotiation, and collaboration skills at all organizational levels.

  • Positive attitude, organizational savvy, and commitment to continuous learning and innovation.

Base Pay Range:

The base pay range noted represents the company’s good faith minimum and maximum range for this role at the time of posting. The actual compensation offered to a candidate will be dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to experience, qualifications and geographic location. Also, most employees are eligible for additional incentive pay.

$167,670.00 - $204,930.00
