As a Data Analytics Consultant, you will play a key role in ensuring the robustness, accuracy, and applicability of analytics solutions developed by the System Integrator (SI).
Your responsibilities include:
· Review & Validation
o Facilitate review of analytics use cases, risk models, and rules prepared by the SI to ensure alignment with business requirements and regulatory standards.
o Evaluate data analytics architecture and frameworks proposed by SI; provide feedback and recommendations for improvements in scalability, accuracy, and interpretability.
o Validate SI-delivered AI/ML models for passenger risk profiling, anomaly detection, and alert generation.
o Review implementation of feedback loop mechanisms that integrate Customs’ insights to continually improve models.
· Analytics & Model Oversight
o Assess the adequacy of risk parameters, thresholds, and weights applied in predictive models.
o Ensure models leverage appropriate techniques such as regression, clustering, dimensionality reduction, reinforcement learning, and decision trees where relevant.
o Verify the robustness of anomaly and outlier detection mechanisms within reports and dashboards.
o Review hybrid human + AI/ML risk assessment workflows to confirm operational efficiency and compliance.
· Specialized Analytics Domains
o Review network/link analytics outputs to ensure accurate mapping of entity relationships (e.g., passenger, operator, travel agent).
o Oversee text analytics capabilities, including NLP-based context extraction, keyword profiling, and pattern detection in structured/unstructured data.
o Validate use of model comparison techniques (ROC, AIC, misclassification rate, etc.) to support a champion–challenger model evaluation approach.
· Consultation & Guidance
o Provide independent insights and comments on analytics deliverables to ensure they meet project objectives.
o Guide SI teams in aligning model outputs with actionable intelligence for risk assessment.
o Ensure dynamic modification of risk rules and model parameters can be effectively incorporated into the system.
o Facilitate knowledge transfer between SI teams, officials, and stakeholders on data-driven decision support.
Preferred Skills and Experience
Eligibility Criteria
· Education: MCA / B.E. / B.Tech / Post Graduation in Data Analytics, Data Science, Machine Learning, or Artificial Intelligence.
· Experience:
o Minimum 3+ years of experience and a minimum experience of 1+ years in data analytics, business intelligence, and data management, implementing analytics use cases, risk models, or ML-driven systems in atleast 1 IT project.
o Strong understanding of machine learning concepts including supervised learning, clustering, anomaly detection, regression (linear, non-linear), and decision trees.
o Familiarity with advanced analytics areas such as:
§ Network/Link Analytics (entity relationships, association analysis).
§ Text Analytics & NLP (context extraction, topic discovery, keyword profiling).
§ Exploratory & Outlier Analysis (detecting anomalies, trend deviations).
§ Model Evaluation (ROC, AUC, KS statistic, cross-validation, champion-challenger approach).
o Knowledge of data mining techniques (k-means, SVM, naive Bayes, association rules).
o Exposure to large-scale data platforms (good to have: Databricks, Spark, distributed computing environments).
· Other Skills: Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, ability to translate technical models into business insights, and effective communication with both technical teams and business stakeholders.
