As a Data Analyst, you will be part of a dedicated team based in Mississauga, Ontario, reporting to the Data Analytics Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for extracting, organizing, and validating data from Snowflake to ensure accuracy and consistency across business processes. You will leverage your analytical expertise to build and maintain interactive PowerBI dashboards, transforming raw data into actionable insights for stakeholders across the organization. Your attention to detail and commitment to data integrity will directly support business decision-making and operational excellence.

What you will get to do

  • Develop and maintain PowerBI dashboards: Design, build, and update interactive dashboards and reports that visualize key metrics and trends for business stakeholders.
  • Extract and manage large datasets: Access, retrieve, and organize datasets from Snowflake and other platforms, ensuring data is structured for analysis and reporting.
  • Validate and cleanse data: Perform rigorous data quality checks to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency; resolve discrepancies and maintain documentation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams: Work closely with business, IT, and analytics partners to understand data needs, define requirements, and deliver solutions.
  • Document data processes and workflows: Maintain clear and up-to-date documentation for data extraction, transformation, and reporting procedures.
  • Support data-driven decision-making: Provide actionable insights and recommendations based on thorough data analysis, helping drive business performance.
  • Continuously improve analytics processes: Identify opportunities for automation, efficiency, and process improvement in data management and reporting.

Who You are

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Business Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or a related field.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Power BI (or similar tool): Advanced proficiency in building and maintaining dashboards and reports. Experience with DAX and Power Query preferred.
    • SQL: Proficiency in writing queries for data extraction and transformation (Intermediate to Advanced).
    • Data Quality & Cleansing: Strong skills in validating, transforming, and ensuring the integrity of large datasets.
    • MS Excel: Advanced use for data manipulation, analysis, and reporting.
    • Experience with automation tools such as Alteryx and Power Automate would be advantageous.
  • Analytical & Problem-Solving: Exceptional analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and translate findings into actionable insights.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and thoroughness in all aspects of data management.
  • Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to present complex data in a clear and concise manner to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Collaboration: Proven ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Continuous Learning & Improvement: Proactive in identifying process enhancements, and ability to learn and adapt quickly to new technologies.

What you get

  • Anticipated compensation for this role is $60,000-$70,000 in annual base salary.  Salary is based on market location, and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
