Title

Data Analyst - Operational Excellence (Hybrid)

Reporting to the BMH Director of Operational Excellence, the Data Analyst supports organizational decision-making by transforming complex healthcare data into actionable insights that drive clinical, operational, and financial performance. This role collaborates across BMH operations teams, support, finance, and quality to develop data solutions that improve care delivery, operations performance, and patient outcomes. The analyst will support performance dashboards, workflow optimization initiatives, and key metric reporting, and will assist in the development of predictive and retrospective analytics.

Key Responsibilities:

·        Collect, clean, validate, and analyze BMH operational/performance data from Epic, Workday, Onbase, Strata/Financial System, and other associated systems and solutions within Bronson applicable to BMH Operations as well as external benchmarking solutions (i.e., Vizient, NDNQI, Strata, etc.).

·        Supports the BMH Director & Manager(s) of OE to design and maintain dashboards, scorecards, and visual reports that track a balanced set of performance measures including, but not limited to, quality of care, access metrics, quality performance, clinician productivity/efficiency, and patient experience.

·        Provide ad hoc and recurring data analysis to support projects such as capacity utilization, access improvement, staffing benchmarks, and operational efficiency.

·        Assist BMH leadership in measuring and interpreting operational Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

·        Partner with stakeholders to define data needs and translate business questions into analytical deliverables.

·        Develop and document data definitions, methodology, and reporting protocols to ensure consistency and transparency.

·        Ensure compliance with HIPAA and organizational policies related to data access, privacy, and security.

Qualifications:

Education:

·        Bachelor’s degree in Health Informatics, Data Science, Statistics, Public Health, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or related field required.

·        Master’s degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience in a healthcare setting.

Experience:

·        Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in a data analyst role, preferably within a hospital, health system, or large medical group practice.

·        Strong understanding of healthcare operations, EMR systems (e.g., Epic), and clinical terminology.

·        Experience working with healthcare and ERP data sets

Technical Skills:

·        Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Power BI.

·        Strong knowledge of data querying techniques.

·        Basic familiarity with Excel, Python, or R for data analysis and modeling.

·        Experience using data extraction and reporting tools in a healthcare environment.

·        Understanding of population health, risk stratification, and value-based care metrics is a plus.

·        Strong interpersonal and communication skills and ability to collaborate with clinicians, administrators, and technical support teams.

·        Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment/

Working Conditions:

·        Hybrid role (75% onsite & 25% remote) with regular on-site meetings at Bronson locations as needed.

·        May require occasional travel to clinical sites for training or project support.
