Data Analyst Intern

Berlin, Germany Full Time

About the team:

Within Global Operations, our mission is to build the best customer experience in fintech by delivering an effortless journey to all our merchants. We’re looking for a curious, driven Data Analyst intern to join our Data & Insights Team. You’ll help foster a data-driven culture across Operations and partner closely with our Customer Support teams to define and track the key metrics. You will create an impactful visualisation that enables the stakeholders to make daily decisions that directly impact the Operation strategy.

What you’ll do
  • Contribute to intuitive, self-service dashboards for Customer Support and Operations Leadership and leverage modern AI to make data faster to access, easier to understand, and quicker to act on.
  • Help define and maintain KPIs that measure the success of our Support Service Model and agent productivity/quality.
  • Explore data, visualise insights, and support stakeholders to take clear and actionable decisions.
  • Utilise DBT to maintain data models with SQL that retrieve and transform data, with guidance from senior team members.
  • Document analyses, monitor metric performance, and help identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Collaborate with data analysts, analytics engineers, and product owners to turn business questions into insights and recommendations.
  • Support cross-functional projects that implement data-driven strategies within Operations.
You’ll be great for this internship if you have
  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, Engineering).
  • Academic or project experience in data analysis (coursework, capstones, hackathons, or internships). Exposure to customer support data is a plus.
  • Basic proficiency in SQL (SELECT, JOIN, aggregations) and eagerness to learn data modelling best practices. DBT is a plus.
  • Knowledge of data quality checks and basic ETL concepts.
  • Experience building dashboards or reports (Tableau preferred; Power BI, Looker, or similar also welcome) from coursework or projects.
  • Ability to translate business questions into metrics and simple analyses, with a focus on clarity and impact.
  • Strong communication skills to explain findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Growth mindset: comfortable receiving feedback, asking questions, and iterating on your work.
  • Collaborative approach and the ability to manage tasks independently with guidance when needed.
What you’ll learn here
  • How to design robust KPIs and dashboards that inform daily operational decisions.
  • Best practices for SQL, data modelling, and scalable analytics in a fast-moving fintech environment using DBT.
  • How to partner with stakeholders, tell a compelling data story, and drive measurable outcomes.
